Default Thousands of pharmacies in England 'at risk of closure'

Thousands of pharmacies in England 'at risk of closure' 23.05.16

the department of health are cutting
ignoring they are already under strain
expect your local chemist to be shutting
don't worry still trading is spice and crack cocaine.
its no smooth ride in a rolls royce
pushing up visits to the GP surgery
whats the view from the "pharmacy voice"
they disagree but its no row involving perjury.
in each others pocket
the government have there supplier
this is no idea that will rocket
the option to use a "community pharmacy" makes them a liar.
220k each chemist does receive
the NHS are financing
just swallow the medicine and don't heave
a 20 min further walk is life enhancing.
to save a £170K is the potion
but to me this is no countdown conundrum
looking after the needy has no conservative devotion
it is there beat of there drum.
we already have a A&E melt down
people are desperate and in need
you won't listen and put us in the brown
but we still prey the well off and rich never bleed.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-36343005 if one person replies with medication time medication time medication time - they will feel some hate poetry.

More are needed not less, firstly to help with minor and routine health requests from the public to Pharmacists and secondly also to promote competition on pricing as to products.
Otherwise Boots in particular will have a monopoly and charge the earth for even the most simple of things.

More should be made of the ability of pharmacists ability to help customers with minor ailments...keep idiots away from the A&E dept in part. Leave A&E for exactly what it is meant to be, accident or emergency.
Perhaps a new campaign letting people know that a large amount of Chemist shops have little private consultation rooms would be a good start.
As to the medication, unless you are going for a prescription it is so much cheaper getting anything else from a supermarket.

This is where we are heading. Boots and super markets will have the manopoly on this and just as we saw butchers, bakers and greengrocers close their doors, we will see our local chemist shops turn into charity shops or estate agencies.
