Default Why do you watch Big brother?

A lot of people think Big Brother is awful, they slated it on the radio this morning describing the people who watch it as 'sad' and the people who audition are 'even sadder' and the people who get in the show are 'even sadder then that'. Also the Media teacher described it as 'television for fecking eejits who are so stupid they can’t even spell there own name'.

So, why do you watch Big Brother? And what do you think of the people who slate the show?

I watch big brother because my english teacher saw i speak a good english, she said to me to watch this popular show. It was a good opportunity for me, i could learn a lot of things that we can't found in the books.
and secondly because it's an excellent show, that's great ! I luv it ! People have to be proud to go there ! They are not stupid !

I watch BB because it’s something that I find entertaining; I find it interesting to see how people react when there in there. I will admit that iam a bit addicted but hey, it’s better to be addicted to this then to drink or drugs.

I can't stand when people slate the show. I mean they go on saying that it’s a waste of time but there the ones who keep going on about how crap it is. Also, I find that people who slate the show haven’t actually seen the show. If you don’t like the show then shut up and stop moaning about it

I watch because it's an addictive show and most of the time entertaining, i havent always liked the show though just tuned in during BB3 and have been hooked ever since. As for the people that slag the show off you generally find that they 'secretly' like the show especially as most of the time these 'BB haters' can tell you everything about whats been happening in the house yet they claim the show is awful and not worth watching, makes me laugh that does.

Its an entertaining, fun, funny, emotional programme where you meet new people and feel as if you know them.

Unlike most celebs, you KNOW these people. There bad habits, good habits, and there 'best bits'. You see them and help them on a journey.

To the people who dont watch.. piss off.

If people slate the show, it's just their opinion. I watched the celebrity one this year just to see who was going in, and when Dirk walked in, I knew I had to keep watching.

I didn't watch BB7 after the first couple of episodes, and if they have the same kind of housemates in BB8, I won't watch that either.

I tend to let a few days of BB go by before I start to watch every episode. I like to start watching after the show offs have embarrassed themselves.

I like the group dynamics and how BB has them up one week and down the next. It's like a psychological experiment. I've heard that some psychology students are tasked with watching BB to see group dynamics in action.

I haven't really enjoyed the last two BB's because I felt they were too long . Ten weeks is plenty for me, as I recall, the last one was 14 weeks long. That's more than a quarter of the year. Way too long.

Another reason I haven't enjoyed the last two BB is the house mates. BB is rapidly becoming a freak show. Shabaz, Lea and Nikki are clearly not fit for such an exercise and should never have been put in the house. I even think it was irresponsible to put Pete in the house.

I hope we have a shorter BB this year with better house mates. BB5 was the best one so far. Here hopes for happy viewing.
