All that "fighting" between everyone and no one does get warning.
Just "calm down"...yeah...not scripted

For what it's worth though I still don't buy that it's scripted or anything. But it isn't Big Brother, that's for sure
BBUS is even more fixed and in a worse state then over here though

Fixed but not scripted (for those who think BBUK is, but don't anyone state the obvious with the DRs please) and they at least have a consistent format

Oh, and the one thing that holds true to the actual premise of Big Brother. 24/7 coverage

Now that I'm home I can explain better.

I guess by 'fake' I mean the people. They are more see through and plastic than ever. You can tell exactly what they are trying to do.

Like Marco - jumping around, trying to be badass, leaving the house to get attention.

Laura - fake showmance, she knows what she's doing.

Natalie - race row, trying to get screen time.

Ryan - do i need to explain?

Twins (good riddance) over the top and fake...

etc etc

I just find it so awkward. If they're going for the drama route, they shouldn't get such ****ty, camera hungry actors. It doesn't just need to be crazy drama to be interesting

Aside from that obvious aspect of the TV edit, what part of BBUS is scripted? They have live feed and we don't, so it's a lot easier to tell which is and which isn't scripted...

Marco and Laura are obviously trying to copy the awful Steph/Jeremy thing.. fun they obviously planned it before going in and the breaking the door was so Gemma Collins.

It's Geordie Shore, and Ex-On-The-Beach, and TOWIE and Chelsea and Love Island. It's scripted, it's fake and it's trashy. You just have to accept it I guess and watch it for what it is now.

It's frustrating though when the base concept is so brilliant.

its pretty much the same as every year, if it was fake they would've rehearsed their "Actors" a little better to not ruin their big secret within seconds

You have to ask yourself why choose this set of self indulgent egomaniacs.

Where is the damaged person who finds life difficult to cope with they usually put in the mix? (Wait, that might be all of them!)

You can't just say "BBUS isn't scripted" and then say "oh wait it literally really is but just pretend it isn't and don't mention it"

Well you can because the TV edit is just one small part of the overall show, and the scripted DR's are an even smaller part of that

How the game unfolds and what the houseguests do and say outside of the DR aren't scripted at all, and we know this because they still have the one integral part of the Big Brother format - live feed.

You can't say BBUS as a franchise is scripted because they use cue cards for their confessionals, it's not exactly a new thing for US reality shows to do

BBUS has always appeared scripted, but that's due to how the TV show is edited (you can tell DRs are scripted, come over too fake) - although with a live feed you know that's it's not scripted, they are real people and make their own decisions.

You could probably say BBUK is scripted more easily because all we literally have to see is 30-45 minutes of content a night. With very little social media presence and no live feed aside from peanuts, BBUK is probably more fixed and contrived than BBUS has ever been.

Yeah thats the thing - am I right in thinking that C5 is owned by an American company and the CEO of BB UK is American? This was discussed a lot at BB15. I do miss the C4 days but Im gonna give this series a chance. Im liking Andrew.

I noticed in the live feed they kept cutting it off when they were all talking about how they had figured out all about the other house!! That was a big waste of time trying to keep that secret!!

It is what it is. I'm enjoying it for what it is.

If we all long for the old days back, well, we're deluded because this is BB now on C5.
