I think it's a bit silly to make out that democrats can't be homophobic, they most certainly can just like there are republicans who are the complete opposite of what you'd think a republican to be.

I don't think this is about homophobia. It's islamic terrorism. They hate us all.

Its a bit silly to be complaining about gun laws when this was a terrorist attack. Yes, America is ****ing ridiculous with its gun laws, but no one complained about gun regulations when this happened in France.
Attacks like this will always happen. No matter what gun laws there are. and like I said earlier, they always happen in anti-gun areas, because people know that if they do it in a place where most civilians do have guns, they will be killed within minutes

Gun laws have to change. It doesn't happen in Britain because people can't get their hands on guns. |

It was definitely about homophobia. The killer was Muslim but it hasn't been confirmed that he's linked to ISIS or any other terror organisation. He purposely went into a gay club, during gay pride weekend and killed over 50 gay people. That's not a coincidence.

I agree that more needs to be done to stop this, but I think its a little heartless to be talking about that when this is the worst attack in american history. Just my personal opinion but this is a little close to the heart. I've not been upset by something like this so much in a while.

I also agree that it's very upsetting. It could've been any of us celebrating pride. |

well lets face it, ISIS members haven't shown themselves to be particularly tolerant of the gay scene to date.
The Mayor has just said it looks likely there was a connection with ISIS |

I'm never going to understand the insane position where the American public think their right to bears arms means it's OK for anyone to be sold an automatic weapon. These should be completely restricted to the armed forces. There is no feasible reason why a member of the public should need to have one.
I am anti gun anyway but semi automatics, why? It makes no sense even if you argue it's for hunting, what are you going to bullet spray the bunnies?

Over here the criminals have guns but your everyday person does'nt so if you're in an armed robbery you just have to stand defenceless and hope for the best. |

To be fair, it's a little more difficult to smuggle firearms into America than it is into France... especially if by extremists. I don't know how thorough the screening process is in buying firearms but the ability for them to be stolen and sold on the black market is a problem in itself.
