Default Did you expect Hughie to be such a firecracker when the show started?
I'll be honest here in stating that when I heard wind about The Others, Hughie was pretty much at the very back of the line for me. Natalie, Ryan and perhaps even Andrew just completely overshadowed him at the beginning, and I thought there wasn't a chance in hell he'd get to shine.

By the time we got to Day 4, and Hughie's perhaps already the most notorious of the Other housemates, if not also the main housemates.

So did you expect Hughie to be such a big character, especially so early on, or did you think he'd fade into the background like I initially did?

I expected him to be a bitchy character but I didn't think he'd really make much of a mark. He's been such a pleasant surprise, a lot more likeable than I expected him to be and a lot more hilariously fiery too.

I thought he's be another Andy, which is no bad thing.

Happily though he's by far the best housemate in there.

Hughie has been the first Housemate of this series to get my attention in a good way with his "shut up! Just shut up!" Thing to Natalie as it reminded me of Linkin Park's One Step Closer song, especially the way he screamed it at Natalie.

And the Diary Room rant about her made me laugh too, first she was 50 then 45.

I expected Jayne and Hughie to fade into the background but I've been surprised with them both. I love all of The Others and want to see all 6 put into the main house.

I wasn't expecting much from any of the others (apart from Ryan and Natalie), but they really took me by surprise and I have come to love all of them, especially Hughie
