No, Emma said on launch night during her live tour that there are two diary rooms. The main house's diary room is through the corridor of the yin yang door. The Other House's diary room is up the stairs.

Plus a different light wouldn't change the colour of the chair. One has more grey stripes than black, on the other one the colours are other way around.
