She should'nt be getting the money if she can earn it herself, they are people out there who are desperate for money because they are in debt or needing it just for shoping and she gets it like that, i hope they get taken of her.

No offence, but most people knew who Jackiey was before CBB, shes been all over the news and I am sure people who lived/worked local to her knew who she was.
So how could she turn up to a DSS office and sign on without no one questioning it? - WEIRD Also for her to claim housing benefit, means that she is living in a council house or some cheap rented property? Does that mean that Jade didnt assist her mum in buying a house with the millions she mad? - Priority check! |

You can live in a lavish palace and still get housing benefit up to what the Rent Service dictates and based on income and savings. It is a mis conception that only 'council' tenants and poor/low cost housing receives housing benefit. DWP will look into whether this will be classed as earnings or savings. The first £156.00 of earnings is disregarded then any thing after that is considered. You can have £16,000 in savings - yes £16,000 or £15,999.99 for benefit assesment, and still qualify for benefits. Cor - like being back at work!!!!! Either way - looks like she will or may have to pay some back. Benefits are for the needy not greedy!!! |

Ok so she didnt go in the office reg..... but some caseworker mustve known who she was and whether she was eligable.
Secondly, i know you can live where you want and claim housing benefit, but there is a cap on the AMOUNT thus she cant be asking for £2,000 per week rent and must be living in "cheaper" housing If she was living in an "£2,000 per week" flat and only claiming £166 a week rent but making up the rest herself.... then it meant her earnings were too high to claim in the first place Hope i am making sense!! Anyway, without being technical my basic point is that ALARM BELLS should have rung EARILER! |

It's not unreasonable to have sour grapes when someone is claiming benefits, despite the fact that they are making thousands.

Well exactly.
Sticks, I hope you like the view from up there on the moral high ground. Considering that Jackiey has earned more in the last couple of months than most people with real jobs earn in a year, I think it's fair to be annoyed that she is receiving tax payers money. |

I was on benefit for a long time as I went on course after course to try and find work, before and between employment, and I am also registered disabled, though I get no disability benefits now, nor have I.
Whether Jacky is defrauding the social security or not, and there are complex rules in play here, my point was that for some reason the tabloid newspapers were turning there attention on her, making headline news, when perhaps there are other news items demanding more attention. It just seemed when I saw it, that the tabloids were being vindictive for some reason, and the motive of the tabloids comes into question. |
