Default 'Superfit' Soldier Died On Brecon Exercise, again

[Josh Hoole collapsed at around 9am on Tuesday as he returned to Dering Lines infantry training centre from a Basic Combat Fitness Test - in which he had to walk eight miles in two hours with 25kg on his back.]

Very sad news, it is awful when those in the armed forces lose their lives in conflict, however losing any life in training or just exercises should be as near impossible as it can be.

It seems a bit irresponsible to keep doing these field trips when these tragedies keep happening. Either they aren't training and monitoring them properly or they are asking far too much.

Surely they should be wearing vital signs monitoring so that intervention happens when signs are bad.

Sometimes super fit people have issues too. We have seen quite a few cases where super fit footballers have dropped during a game. It happens. Every other game they are fine, but 1 time is all it takes.
