Default 60 days or longer?

I've seen a lot of people say it should have gone on for longer but is anyone else fine with 60 days?

I mean I was getting a tad bored towards the end of this run and tbh I may have switched off 2 weeks ago without Jayne and Laura

I'm personally more bothered by the needless gimics like 4 in 4 out, Annihilation Week and the twist that evicted Danielle and Sam without a public vote

9-11 weeks is my limit, I didn't find the length of this series to be bad

Also if it had ran another month I'd have been away for the final

eh I think 70-72 days is the perfect duration for a series.

11-13 weeks is way too long imo and 50-60 days is just ridiculous

I always think I'm done and I get bored but then they do something that makes it interesting again. I really don't know.

I'm not sure C5 can handle a longer run. They need to be more hands off if it goes on longer. If it's too much meddling, it becomes very predictable far too soon into the series...

I'll always be annoyed we came so close to 100 days and they never gave it to us (a bit like what BBUS are doing these days) but I draw the line at below ten weeks

They originally cut civilian to make way for CBB8 and everyone hoped and expected it would return to normal the next year. It didn't. We got another summer CBB. People learned to accept it. Fast forward four years and civilian has been cut AGAIN to make way for their overexposed pile of sh*te and it ****ing sucks

Something like BB13/BB14 is the perfect length imo

I wouldn't have minded 60 days if they wanted to shorten the series as that's not far off from 64 days (the previous shortest duration)

But ideally 10 weeks (70-72 days) is the perfect length.

if anything summer CBB cutting the series duration down from 13 weeks was a good thing though. I couldn't imagine watching BB12, BB14, BB15 or BB16 for 13 weeks

As a viewer i could easily have watched another few weeks,

Bit off topic but It can get so draining on here trying to stick up for housemates, this series more than usual so i'm kinda glad it's finished for now

I'd rather they just launched the civilian BB in mid-June and had it run for 10 weeks so it ended in late-August without any summer CBB so then BB would run throughout the majority of the summer.

I could watch Big Brother all year it doesn't bother me

It's more about the principle of it IMO, shafting the civilian version time and time again (and now to 7 ****ing weeks) to make way for their overexposed crap

What's next year? 3 weeks for civ and the celebs get the ten weeks?

As long as CBB rates well they're going to keep extending it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if CBB19 is almost as long as BB17.

And the more time, effort and promotion they put into CBB and the less they give to civilian, the more the former is going to rate much better

They know what they're doing

It was the perfect length, and agree with everything else you say, had it been longer I think it would have gotten boring. If they keep it short there is no need for gimmicks.

I don't think I can watch an 8-week CBB.

Extending it to 4-5 weeks is bad enough. CBB15 and CBB17 both got dull in their second halves.

I'm just glad LI is renewed so I can enjoy that if BB is **** or if BB18 is 4 weeks.

They can extend winter CBB as much as they want, I always want them to keep breaking the previous record

Summer CBB which then cuts civilian back though? Nah, they can get to ****

I do think BB17 rating well will make them extend BB18 though. It would be pointless to have another short series when it's done great
