Default Should Dianas Boys go to war

What do you think?
I personally think she would have wanted them to go to war as she liked to keep their lives as normal as possible

If they’re signed up, yes. I do however; think that the people in charge of this war should be more focussed on withdrawing troops.

It's their choice. If they want to join the army, they can!

I dont think that it is about Diana to be honest, they are grown men. Harry has actually made a choice about service in Iraq. In fact he has been quite passionate about his desire to serve along side the men he has trained with. I think that they will possibly have to take extra measures to protect his whereabouts but other than that he is a serving soldier so why shouldnt he go.

I think it is slightly different for William as he is 2nd in line to the throne and will more than likely serve as king in his lifetime. Now I know that our monarch is purely a figure head but I for one like having a monarch and think that they should be protected/

God! We did this topic in debate club.

I think they should. It sets a good example to other young British people that the royals are also serving their country alongside normal people...maybe more people will join the army.

I dont think he should. He'll be a target and will endanger tropps who are around him. Even though it is a tradition for the royal family to go to war. I dont think its a good idea.

If he wants to, then why not?
If he's killed it shows the very real dangers that men and boys (and women) are facing every day in the war. His life isn't more valued than the rest of them. We're all humans, at the end of the day.

more people joining the army isn't a good thing

British people fighting for other countrie's interest. Is only good for them, not for the families of the troops.....

More people joining the army is great...what if there's a war with the UK??? And no soldiers????

I think you can't blame the army but Tony Blair for sending troops for an usless and unjust cause.

there wont be any need for war, if Britain didn't already have an army in everyones back yard?
p.s ... patriotism, on the basis of the british army isn't worth talking about.

Right now in the world...you never know when there will be a war. So it's a good idea to have troops ready, not having one in a country such Great Britain is too risky and leaves us vunerable to attacks.

Again....you have to talk about Tony Blair when regarding the troops in other countries...it's his desision not theirs. :|

Patriotism goes for the country not for the army.

I heard an interesting thing on the news yesterday about how the Royals now had an interest in, and concern about, Iraq that Tony Blair or another politician hasn't had because none of them have any children or close relatives in the armed forces.

There is a politician in America that wants to re-introduce conscription (The Draft) there because it would mean that more politicians would have their own children, and more people from their own communities in the army, and this would make it less likely that they would start wars and put them at risk.
