Default A ban on people should be down to a vote
As so in all forward thinking countries - and communities a ban of presence is known long ago as exile - this could cause death.

No one should be forced off this forum unless they do something really weird and deliberately vindictive.

I ve not seen this - even if I did 'Im sure Id live'


Do we want to stop being 'generation snowflake'

and get on with our talks?

But then, certain members would never be banned as they are cliquey and/or have a bunch of mates

Where others would be banned for anything as they are hated for their opinions/who they support.

Yes.
It is a nice thought but it would never work. We could try a weeks trial first though and I don't mind being the guinea pig.

So basically you want to the forum to be in grid-lock like the US Congress

Let's rephrase one of your quotes...

It would be the triumph of the skilled stealth troll. A brand new way forward and era of new age forum politics. It's how we ended up with a platform thick enough to support candidates such as Donald Trump after all. So only fitting.

Stealth trolling aside, even if we made it a vote based off of a 6mo+ long-term infraction record, all trolls thrive off of pushing the limits to suit their needs.

There is no perfect system tbh
