5 After Midnight - Get Ready/Reach Out I'll Be There
Good choice of two songs. They remind me of a Motown sort of group. I think that this is a better song for them than last week which I personally didn't like Four of Diamonds - You Keep Me Hangin' On I remember Little Mix singing this on The X Factor 2011 and it sounded great but one of them unfortunately forgot the lyrics. I genuinely believe 4OD will smash it even more because they've got that old vintage sound that other bands don't. Freddy Parker - Ain't No Mountain High Enough As long as he's on the piano he'll be ok. Last week he hit some flat notes when getting up and dancing. I don't particularly see him as the kind of artist that does upbeat songs. Matt Terry - I Heard it Through the Grapevine Awesome song choice. This is the song I imagined him to do even before the songs were confirmed. I really hope that he stays true to the original version and not do any special arrangements as this is a song that I don't really appreciate people messing around with. Ryan Lawrie - Superstition I'm not a fan of Ryan. I don't even know why he's still in the competition. I think Superstition is totally the wrong song for him and I believe that singing a song as ambitious as this will not go well for a weak, mediocre singer like him. Potentially an early exit very soon I hope Honey G - No Money No Problems Motown and Honey G is not a good concoction but at least this song has a Motown sample in it. Whether not this will be as great and entertaining as last week, I don't know yet but she really grew on me and I hope she continues to excite people and put on a great show. Saara Aalto - River Deep, Mountain High I'm not a fan of Saara at all. I find that she'd better representing Finland on Eurovision but even on that someone much better than her would be the winning entry for her country. This song is far too upbeat and she doesn't have the right breath control and tone to pull it off. I expect a pitchy, karaoke performance based on this song choice. Relley C - Ain't No Sunshine A brilliant song choice. Relley has a lot of soul in her voice and I believe that she does well singing a good ballad. This could be a real moment for her if she pulls this one off. Emily Middlemas - Stop In the Name of Love I'm hoping that Emily doesn't do what she did last week. That is singing out of her comfort zone. Her guitar is like her tool to help her win this show. When she performed last week, I thought her voice was incredibly limited without that tool. I'm not particularly feeling optimistic about this performance. Gifty Louise - Rockin' Robin A very interesting song choice. I think that Gifty will hopefully pull it off and put a smile on our faces. I look forward to this. Sam Lavery - Hello Last week I was surprised Samantha got the rave reviews that she got from the judges. I didn't think she was that good. The song choice this week however is a lot better. Samantha has an old-style blues voice and with a song like this she can definitely show her off more of her beautiful tone. Overall, a very good setlist of songs for tomorrow night. I think based on the song choices, the bottom three this week could be: Eliminated: Saara Alto Sing-off save: Freddy Parker Flash-vote save: Ryan Lawrie Last edited by DaNasty; 14-10-2016 at 05:37 PM. Some pretty predictable choices there, the only ones I'm excited for are Relley, Gifty, 5am and Saara Emily and Freddy best not **** up those songs or I'll be pissed.

5 After Midnight - Get Ready/Reach Out I'll Be There
Not heard much of these songs so I will be judging on a fresh slate - I generally like this group though, so I'm expecting a good performance. Four of Diamonds - You Keep Me Hangin' On Again, not too familiar with this but I don't feel like 4oD know what direction they're going in sometimes, I don't why but I just get that vibe. His week will show how they perform live, so I'm looking forward to that. Freddy Parker - Ain't No Mountain High Enough I think this song really resembles the theme, but I think other artists in the competition would have got on better with it. I'm not a fan of Freddy either, piano or not. Matt Terry - I Heard it Through the Grapevine I think Matt can really pull this one off, it's a great so g choice and it could be a great performance. Ryan Lawrie - Superstition Once again not familiar with the song, but I like Ryan so hopefully he can pull it off just in time for the show. Honey G - No Money No Problems Honey G really doesn't belong in this competition, especially when artists from the Overs such as Peyton and Samantha failed to get through. This is a bad wee for her. Saara Aalto - River Deep, Mountain High After last weeks sing off, I'm expecting massive things for Saara. She is an incredible singer,I just hope she didn't set the bar too high for herself. I think she can do this one well too, so it could be a good week for her. Relley C - Ain't No Sunshine Relley will definitely be able to pull this off, especially after what we saw last week. I can't wait for this. Emily Middlemas - Stop In the Name of Love Not familiar with the song, but Emily is a good singer so here's hoping she manages to give a good performance. Gifty Louise - Rockin' Robin Gifty will smash this, with the upbeat nature of it, and it am so excited to see where she goes with it. Sam Lavery - Hello Not sure who the artist if this is (if it's Adele it's a bad song choice, same with Lionel Richie) so not that excited for it. Overall, a very good setlist of songs for tomorrow night. I think based on the song choices, the bottom three this week could be: Eliminated: Sam Lavery ( ![]() Sing-off save: Freddy Parker Flash-vote save: Honey G |
