I absolutely love taking my Sisters two little Terriers out for long walks in the park. The energy they have is amazing,relentless and hilarious too watch! . And by the end of the two hour plus walk they are so chilled out, me too. It sets me up for the day and is something that i love to do. I can't imagine not walking them on a daily basis. Do you too get a lot out of it from walking your dogs?

I love walking my dogs! Great to just get out in the open (fields, countryside) and take some time out. It's awesome now that the leaves are changing colour too! Love Autumn and Winter.

It's healthy too. My husband has high blood pressure and his doctor told him 'Pretend you have a dog and walk it for at least a couple of miles every day'!! I must admit it would be nice to have a real dog to walk though.

I love my doggie, we only walk him every other day now as he has a problem with one of his legs, he runs away sometimes rather than wanting to go for a walk

Well I have 7 dogs and a couple of them need to go out alone as theyre a handful, so all I do all morning is walk dogs lol 2 out 1st thing, then 1. Then another 1 and another then finally 2 together. A couple of weeks ago my other half had the week off and did a few walks, then on the Fri he said he would do them all and give me a rest (im always complaining about all the walks lol) and you know what? I didn't know what to do with myself lol Have had dogs for 21 years and have walked every day since.

I have two dogs and I walk them every day. They misbehave if life gets in the way and I can't walk them one day for whatever reason. One of my dogs is really naughty on his walk though but the other is good as gold so I can manage them fine. I don't really enjoy taking them out for their average everyday walks I just do it because they need the exercise and they need to get out the house for a bit but I enjoy taking them for longer hikes and stuff when i have the time. I have a week off next week so I'll probably take them somewhere for a couple of hours.

I used to road run 8 miles per day in one very early morning 4m run, and another evening 4m run, and my route was mainly along deserted country lanes.

Not for me any headphones - no matter how much I love ALL types of music, which I do - because, not only do I regard the practice as potentially dangerous in the event of not hearing vehicles approaching from behind, but I just LOVED the complete solitariness, the silence, the chance to be alone with my thoughts.

I have solved numerous problems which were then troubling me, whilst alone with my thoughts on those runs in the fresh, early morning, country air.

Now I rarely road run at all, and the old 'Life Fitness' treadmill does not afford quite the same opportunities for thought, even if it does kind of provide a similar benefit fitness-wise.

So I accompany my wife when she puts our four little shih tzus into the car, drives out to a local beauty spot, and then walks them for a couple of hours, and I walk ahead with two of the dogs so I get some quiet time to myself and my thoughts, and all is not lost.

It does the dogs good, and it does me good, because I have the same 'buzz' which I get when stepping into the showers at the gym after a session.

I love my 4 metre run to the bog every morning .... nothing better

I am dreading the signs that the time is fast approaching when THAT might be the only 'exercise' I'll be capable of BOTS.

You do miss them when you can't take them out. And that dirty look you get the day after from them really makes you feel bad too. BUT... they soon forgive you as you load them up into the car all excited for their next long walk in the woods.
That's dogs for yah, so forgiving and so loving.

One time i was out in the park with the dogs and walked over to a dog walker that i knew in the park. We always talked and laughed when we saw each other but this day he seemed distant towards me. As i approached him he stepped back, so i moved closer. He said get back! I was like.... what the hell is wrong with you today, he seemed very strange? So i turned around and walked away and left him alone. Weeks passed by... we would see each other in the park and he would go out of his way to keep his distance from me. This guy is 82yrs old and very chatty and friendly so it just confused me why he would do this. Eventually our paths crossed again and i got to speak to him. Being the chatty but very blunt person that i am i asked him why the distance the other month? Did i offend you or something??? He paused for a moment then said. I had pooped my pants.

Aw. But earlier today I saw a big terrier and a dad letting his little one pet him and it terrified the heck out of me especially with all the recent headlines.
