Default A fascinating series

So I'm sure we all agree judges houses went catastrophically wrong but in terms of being able to objectively sit back and analyse the show, I think this group of finalists have delivered some really interesting stuff.

For once, genuinely, going into this final I believe it was wide open - and you could've made a case for any permutation occurring. I still think that stands tonight, the momentum has clearly been behind Saara for the past couple of weeks, and it's worth pointing out that the act who has won the semi-final since 2009, has gone on to win (only JLS were the exception) - my guess would be she topped the vote last week.

Conversely, the survivor of the semi-final sing off has always finished third in the final. Not anymore! I also think It's Oh So Quiet is the wrong choice for the reprisal song, it should've been The Winner Takes It All, whilst Matt gets to do The Writing's On The Wall again.

Genuinely believe this could go either way. Can't wait to see the voting stats

When do they usually publish the voting stats of the whole series?

It depends on the winners single, every year a winners song didnt suit one person and they came runner-up. Olly,Fleur etc last years one didnt suit anyone at all.

Yeah the winner's single is going to play a part too.

I expect Saara was leading at the freeze, and at the end of the show I still thought she'd win, but having watched Xtra and heard who's reprising what, coupled with the potential of 5AM's fans and Middle England/casual voters backing Matt tonight, my guess would be the pendulum will shift.

Honestly think for once this is actually a close final, the last few have been pretty predictable.

There's been high points like Saara's arc but huge low points like the lifeline vote and Relley C being absolutely robbed that really taint the series

But it has been exciting in the sense it's so close and it really could go any way

Also the judges praising everything is low point as well imo. Too many standing ovations. They honey G stuff as well like cat dressed up as her and those stupid polls. Its getting a bit tacky but if it wasn't saara i guess it wouldnt be that exciting imo

Oh I still would've picked a better group of finalists, but I think what this bunch has delivered in terms of results has been surprisingly interesting.

Who would have thought in week one we'd be in a scenario where at the semi-final, Saara was the only one pretty much guaranteed to go through? When people had her pegged as a fourth placed a few weeks earlier? That the runaway favourites - Emily and Matt - would end up in the last sing off of the series? That every act in the final four had won at least one week? That so many votes were so close?

This series feels like it's all been about Saara it'll be weird if she doesn't win.

Anyways, I think Matt will win but yes it could go either way. Saara could blow him out the park tonight with her performances now that the Nicole duet (which was always going to be ****ing shagged by the public) is out of the way.

IMO the production has been awful this series, no authenticity whatsoever.

Tbh Matt wont even be a bad winner. Obviously not as good as Alexandra/Matt C/Little Mix/Leona, but he'd be one of the better ones.
