Default Austrian cops raid refugee centre over ‘unprecedented’ New Year’s Eve mass sex attack

AUSTRIAN cops raided a refugee centre today over the mass sex attacks against women on New Year’s Eve.

The operation came a day after police revealed an “unprecedented” 18 reports of assaults during the celebrations in Innsbruck.

Cops believe the suspects were in their late teens of either North African or Asian descent, it was reported by local newspaper Krone Zeitung.

The victims were from Austria and neighboring Italy, Germany and Switzerland, and most were aged between 19 and 25 years old. Most of the assaults were committed between 11.30pm and 1.30am, and 16 of the reported cases happened in the town's market square.

The attacks follow a spate of sexual assaults committed by asylum seekers in Austria over the past year. In August nine Iraqi refugees and asylum seekers were arrested as suspects in the rape of a 28-year-old woman during the early hours of January 1 2016.

The attacks were a haunting reminder of the New Year’s Eve attacks in Cologne last year where hundreds of women were assaulted by migrants.
More than 25,000 people had gathered in Innsbruck’s main square to see in the New Year.

It was to be expected. In Vienna they were handing out rape alarms beforehand. This **** can only go on for so long before the people say enough is enough and European governments are forced to deal with the situation. There's only so much 'tolerance' that people have.

I find it incredibly disturbing that groups of men seem to have no control over some kind of apparent sexual frenzy. WTF is wrong with them?

It doesn't matter where they come from or who they are, it's unacceptable in any society. Surely they understand this?

We should have known that this would happen. All of those sandy brown folks are rapists after all, it's just part of their culture, send them back, build a wall, cover it in pictures of pigs so that they won't be tempted to try to have sex with it. Am I rite?

Well no you're not, I would expect anyone throughout the world to be able to act like a person and not a sex enraged animal. People have parents, families, education to teach them the basics of right and wrong. It doesn't matter where they come from.

Oh sorry were you baiting folks by implying they are bigots? I like you but sometimes I'm disappointed.

And actually I'm going to add that this subject isn't funny.

You are incorrect Jaxie, people from the Middle East do not have parents, they actually spawn from oil wells spontaneously and multiply exponentially when exposed to water. If they eat after midnight, they become sex-crazed and develop spikey knife-like tumors all over their bodies.

And no I'm not baiting anyone, I've simply realised that the path of least resistance is the easiest way to exist so I have adapted my opinions to be more palatable in "modern" Britain.

How sad that discussion is being shut down like this.

Satire doesn't shut down discussion. In fact if anything it does the opposite

Some subjects aren't funny. Attacking and terrorising others is one of them.

It's easier than acknowledging there is a problem with some immigrants that needs to be addressed, lets sweep it all under the carpet and laugh at the women who have been assaulted because as long as it's immigrants doing the assaulting they should put up and shut up, am I rite?

To you maybe, humour is subjective. You seem to be missing the point, in satire (and in the case of TS's post) the butt of the joke isn't the victims or the situation, but rather popular opinion that surrounds said things. The humour comes from exposing how ludicrous some ideas are

It's like that Real Housewives of ISIS clip I posted yesterday. It's not taking the piss out of oppressed women who are being recruited by an appalling terrorist organisation, but rather ISIS itself

What and whose ideas are ludicrous? Specifics?

It's a desperate cry for people to discuss the actual issues reasonably and rationally without all of the tabloid hysterics.

I will admit that I already know it's an entirely futile attempt.

Well that would of course depend on the context, I was talking about satire in general in the case of the video for example it would of course be the ludicrous recruitment processes and ideology of ISIS. You'd hope most would be able to discern that...

You know you are starting to make me feel like I don't want to post in debates any longer. It feels futile to express any kind of opinion in here lately.

Opinions are a two way street and everyone is entitled to them, not just you Jaxie.

If you can't handle differing opinions then that's on you.

That seems like a bit of a random statement with no context or meaning to the discussion?

From what I understand, TS was mocking the sensationalism of the tabloid reporting on this subject and it's well within his rights to do that, he hasn't tried to repress anyone's right to an opinion with what he said, despite the fact that others in the topic tried to do exactly that to him by playing the outrage game.

It's just another case of people preaching about freedom of speech but only as long as it benefits them.
