Hiya,
Well BB4 is just over 2 weeks away now, and within the next few days I will be launching the new TiBB Website. What I found last year, was that people loved to see updates on the main page. I found it hard to do regular updates and fit it manually onto the front page. This year, in the construction of the TiBB website, I have designed an article and latest updates script. It works like this: There is a section on the TiBB forum, which only certain people can see. Whenever a new thread is made in it, it automatically goes on the frontpage. It displays who person who posted the article, part of the article and how many hours ago it was done. The front page of the site displays the latest three threads. There is then a link to the 'article archive' which displays every thread made in the article forum. These articles can be read via the TiBB website. Sorry if this sounds complicated, but it's hard to explain - to put it in simple terms, whenever a thread is made in a specified forum, it automatically gets archived, and displayed on the front page of TiBB! To write updates this way would save me time in updating the website, but I thought, why not involve the members of TiBB! Anyone who wouldn't mind helping out, occasionally writing small articles, or just displaying the latest news that you have just seen on TV - all of this is great. Articles and news updates need not be huge essays. Just a paragraph or two - whether it be serious, or humourus is a big help, as a) It makes the updates more frequent and b) Gives you, the members a more active role. These are the sort of things we are looking for: 1) Article writers - writing short articles on anything to do with BB4. 2) Update writers - any time you see something on E4, or hear about an update on the internet post it for people to see 3) Contestant news - write anything that prevails about the housemates during their time in the house. 4) Topic starters - Start a discussion point, and put a link to a thread in a forum where people can discuss this idea. As I said, I am gratful for anyone that can offer just a few minutes here and there to post a thread in this forum. Anyone can apply, as long as you have OVER 100 posts! It's just like writing a thread, but with no replies... You can put a link to a TiBB thread with the article on (so there will be two copies, one for the site and one for the forum) so people can reply. Please can you U2U me, or leave a reply on this thread if you would like to help TiBB become the best BB site on the internet! Thankyou - Mark |
