Are students walking up to people on the green telling them they can't have opinions they don't like? Are they protesting a speaker or an event? I have no idea because you've provided no information or context.

Well of course after their demands for 'safe spaces', banning free speech was surely going to follow soon after. It won't be long before some twonk wants 'free thought' banned too. Based on what? Arista's original post proved no sources, no articles and barely anything aside from 'Universities stopping free speech' which is an unqualified statement.

So your argument is that universities are preventing free speech because some students are using their own right to freedom of speech to protest an event or a speaker?
