Default Letting off Steam !!!!!

Since Mr. Boris was made redundant and then decided to retire about a month ago, my life has ceased to be my own! ( I would like to point out that Mr. Boris is a year or 2 older than I am )
Dearly as I love him....well most of the time....he is slowly driving me 'loopy'!

Take today.....all I wanted to do after a week at work , was to have a 'mooch' around the shops, something I don't do often. A ''girlie' day buying things girls need - like clothes - and more clothes, oh and birthday pressies for my nieces 2 olittle girls who I will see next weekend.Yes that was fine but OH decided to comte too.Trouble is he HATES shopping.

I was rushed from shop to shop. Did I get anyting I wanted? NO. AM I now bad tempered and frustrated? YES

Never mind , better luck next time. I am sure that all will be well in a month or 2 but at the moment......................WELL
I have begun to think I like moaning , so that is enough !

BYE NOW

Hey Boris, if it's any consolation, my mum found exactly the same when my dad retired last summer. Except that she had already retired and found it very weird having him around the house all day as well.

My letting off steam is about my mother-in-law. It's 4 months since Maddie was born and she still hasn't seen her! She phoned today before OH was back from work so I ended up talking to her and she said "I still want to see her". I felt like saying "Well why don't you do something about it then?!". Instead I just diplomatically said "Yes I know" and tried to be very tactful.

Poor you Kaphc. Families are very difficult to 'sort out'. I find it amazing that ANY Grandma could delay from seeing a new grandchild.Very Hurtful to youall.

Chin up

Sympathise with you Boris. I try very hard not to go shopping with OH cos we always end up having a row.

He is one of these who thinks you go in one shop, see exactly what you want, buy it and go home

Now I on the other hand, like to go in as many shops as possible, have a coffee and a discussion about what I might possibly buy, go back and look in a few more shops and then probably go home having bought nothing, but having had a great day out.

Seriously when I want to let off steam I have a very bad habit of throwing things in work it is a stress ball and at home anything that comes to hand.

I also have what I call my voodoo orange. Its a dried out orange with pins of a face stuck in it, when anyone annoys me the pins get twisted. Dont know if it works but it makes me feel better.

Kaph dont know how anyone could go without seeing their grandchild for four months and then to more or less blame it on you. I bet your tongue is nearly bitten in half.

I think there may be a few like minded people around on this site - so how about going to London early for the convention and spending the day on an investigation of what the shops have to offer

Sounds very difficult Boris, you'll have to find him another hobby. He needs to have a motor car/bike to work on in the garage. That should keep him out of your hair for a while.
