Default Caffe Nero Manchester Hobo No No (sunday mirror)

Student Emily had pity
on a homeless drunk/junkie and
asked him to come for a coffee.

The Wise Staff
did not want him in there
and using their Bog etc.

Emily then went to another place
but must have thought this will be great in
the Mirror paper.
Well Emily they gave Photo of you
on page 12 of today's Sunday Mirror
so we all know you are a Trouble Maker.

What is this?
What's the actual story and what other place did Emily go to?
Was she sacked?
How do we know she was a trouble maker when we don't know the full story?

I call her a good citizen, it was a kind altruistic act which could even be described as Christian if you're so inclined.

I suppose the story is she thought it was a story and got herself in the paper.
Bit like telling everyone on Facebook when you do your ablutions or what you had for tea etc.

Here is the full story http://www.manchestereveningnews.co....n-tea-12728682

Cafe Nero has made a statement saying "this is not company policy and that all staff have been informed that they must sell food and drink to both the homeless and people like Emily who was buying for the homeless.

Emily clearly went to the papers because she wanted to publicly shame the brand. In doing so, she has brought about some very positive action. Good for her.

Emily

I hope the manager of the branch and the person involved gets reprimanded heavily as I assume the 'company policy' lie probably came from the manager. Disgusting that they'd treat this homeless man like a pigeon or a rat or some other kind of vermin.

The junkie homeless man was not like a Rat,
Dezzy , he was banned to not upset the
customers in that Caffe Nero
and messing in their bog

These places must have standards
they can not afford to lose current customers

Dezzy - Business Matters

Sorry, I missed the part in the article where it stated he was a junkie?

And, do you not provide actual sources, links, articles in your threads anymore?

upset customers? lose customers? by what? letting people come and buy and eat food?!
Let's ban ugly people and amputees because they're not a nice sight while sipping your latte.
It's a cafe, for crying out loud.

There appears to be no business side, the business involved has stated it wasn't company policy to refuse service.

It's indefensible of them to discriminate against someone and refuse to serve them for being homeless, it wouldn't be accepted if it was someone being refused service on other grounds. Homeless people are still people and deserve to be treated as such, not sub-human as some people view them. Thank god there's people like Emily.

I was in Glasgow like 2 weeks back seeing Busted, and afterwards we went to KFC next to our hotel. We caught the tail end of an argument in there...some homeless guy had been given enough cash to get some food. The staff were refusing to serve him because he was homeless and 'dirty' but he wasn't even wanting to sit in, just get his sandwich and leave..but no...they would rather argue with him (and others in the shop who were standing up for him) for half an hour than serve him and he would be gone in 30 seconds. What a bunch of wankers. I suspect this isn't rare either.

(McDonalds down the road served him though)

No. Thats why we ended up going to Glasgow Newcastle was sold out so we ended up paying like 250 quid to replace them, once trains and hotel were taken into account

Then to top it all off..it really wasn't that good. Was very disappointed, though our view was great

I would have put money on that being the case, with Busted.

Their last tour was brilliant though

This one was all about their new music...which I don't really like that much. A couple of their new ones are ok but most aren't

The problem is Vicky
they take the Cash give him
his bag with Hot Food he then finds a seat,
causing others to have a go
at the Manager.

You do not know if he has
caused TROUBLE in there
a week ago,to be fair to that Scottish KFC,

Anyway McD took his cash
got his Hot Food.
