CORRIE’S cobbles have seen a gas blast, a lorry smash, a tram crash and an inferno in the Underworld knickers factory.
But the Street could be facing its biggest destruction yet as the set is torn up by WILL.I.AM.
The Voice coach will be giving Weatherfield a major overhaul as he films the video for his new song Fiyah tomorrow — and is sure to create chaos.
Will will turn the Rovers Return pub upside-down, with pyrotechnic machines to produce fire and explosions.
An insider on the ITV soap revealed: “He fell in love with Corrie when he visited the set filming The Voice’s auditions in Salford.
“After much persuading of producers, and the seal of approval from Corrie veteran BEV CALLARD, he wangled his way on to the set. It’s going to be chaos — loads of special effects on the cobbles and in the pub. Will wants as much fire and explosion as the set can handle.
“They are even booting out the actors and crew early from filming so Will’s 20 dancers can rehearse. Corrie producers are hoping the Street comes out of it unscathed.”
