I can reveal that REVEREND KATE BOTTLEY has signed up to the next series of Celebrity MasterChef in a bid to launch herself as the nation’s best-loved vicar.

Kate is also now represented by the same agent as MARY BERRY and CLAUDIA WINKLEMAN in a bid to push her career in the right direction.

A source said: “Kate is very excited for MasterChef and hopes this will properly launch her career.

“She has already started filming and is having a real blast.

“The nation will definitely see a new side to her.” After three series on C4’s Gogglebox, Kate took a break last year to help her daughter study for her GCSEs. But her showbiz career has continued to grow.

She made a BBC documentary about Bible baddie JUDAS ISCARIOT last Easter and has also made an appearance on Celebrity Mastermind.

The source added: “The documentary was a great way to launch her career but MasterChef will truly cement her in the public sphere.”

The vicar will be among 20 stars, including S Club 7 singer RACHEL STEVENS, competing for the coveted Celebrity MasterChef trophy when the series returns to BBC1 screens in the summer.

She’ll be forced to face up to the tough critique of judges GREG WALLACE and JOHN TORODE — after years of dishing it out herself.

I still think fans will miss her dog sprawled on the sofa.
