Default UK General Election Gina Miller's crowdfunded tactical voting campaign

Gina Miller, the businesswoman who brought the High Court challenge against Theresa May's right to trigger Article 50, is taking another stand against a "hard Brexit" by launching a tactical voting initiative.

The pro-EU campaigner has set up a crowdfunding page for the group Best for Britain, which has already raised more than £100,000.

Ms Miller, with a group of other pro-EU campaigners, is using the money to campaign for tactical voting in order to avoid a "hard Brexit".

It aims to eventually back MPs "who campaign for a real final vote on Brexit, including rejecting any deal that leaves Britain worse off".

This woman doesn't believe in democracy. As a millionaire business woman she thinks she knows best and what she wants should go. No time for her. She is only looking after her own interests, no-one else's.

Yes, and also seemingly have no problems with the Tories trying to redraw the borders of constituencies in ways that would result in more Tory MPs...

Apparently it IS OK to play games with democracy, if it fits your own agenda.

We need someone to stand up to that dictatorship called Gina Miller.

No doubt if she had the power she would personally overturn the referendum result in her belief she knows best. That woman suffers with Delusions of grandeur.

Hard Brexit, Soft Brexit is actually a myth devised by those who can't accept Brexit and need to hold onto something EU.

It's so simple really, I leave your house after a visit. I don't leave but think I'm entitled to the table lamp, an armchair and the knitted lady toilet roll holder.
This terrible fear of leaving is alarming, particularly since none of the doom and gloom already forecast has happened. I'm sure it won't be all smooth sailing, The world isn't going to end when we leave either.

I think we have two main types of remainers here, the business people such as Ms Miller who believe their businesses will be affected and they may lose some of their precious millions and ordinary people who fear such change.

It is a big step, too big for some who fear the short-term and long-term consequences and as such will focus on all the doom and gloom mongering from people they assume will know more about it than them. It is understandable but this is a chance to do things our own way and take back our independence.

I have to say from the behaviour I have seen from these Europe chiefs I think the sooner we get out from under their thumbs the better. They are nothing more than bullying dictators trying to instil fear and uncertainty into the British people to get their own way based on their own fear the rest of Europe will follow suit if Britain succeeds in their independence. Their power will then be gone. It's always about power.

I really have to agree with this part. I also find it bizarre how people blame the Tories for not making demands for all the things their pals in Europe are saying they can't have to punish us for leaving. I'm no Tory voter but I am fair I like to think. We were told categorically by the EU, no single market yet people keep saying the Tories aren't seeking the single market. The EU said no. What is wrong with people? All May has said is ok you said no single market, let's move on and have a free trade agreement instead.

It's all tactics to try and find any loophole, way or reason to try and slow down, stop or cause mischief to Brexit.

I have to admit I rather enjoyed seeing her squirm. She doesn't have the guts to be honest about what she really wants, as she doesn't want to be seen as undemocratic, but that's exactly what she is. She was way out of her league with Andrew Neil and it was amusing to watch.

She is trying to overturn a public vote - if that isn't undemocratic I don't know what is.

No, what is truely undemocractic is that the Daily Mail gets away with slander and libel, and sway the opinion of this country, the same with The Sun, and dozens of other newspapers, Newspapers should be bound by a set of ethics and impartiality.

The Independent is pretty damn biased in their journalism, you can't just single out the papers that have different politics to your own.

Still not the same as trying to overturn a public vote in my opinion.

Spot on.
News,or what should be real news, is not to be found in most so called 'news'papers.
I agree a whole new set of ethics need to be applied to Newspapers.

It's manipulating the general public with lies, which is much worse and a lot more damaging to this country, in my opinion.
