Britain's Got Talent 2017 have just confirmed a brand new twist to the live shows.


This year there will be NO judges' vote in the results - instead the public alone will determine the top acts who make the final each night.

However the judges will get a wild card act, who will join the ten acts in the final as chosen by the public.

From Monday, eight of the remaining contestants will perform live each week night before lines open for viewers to back their favourite.

Unlike in past years where the top act went through to the final and the judges chose between the next two most popular acts, this year it'll be the public alone who have the power.

In each of the semi-finals the two acts with the most viewers votes will go straight to the final.

They will be joined by an extra wild card act, as chosen by the judges after the semi-finals conclude.

Judges have made tons of mistakes before and favour singers and dancers over variety

Boring, just means the final will be less varied and will be more heavily singers/dancers
