Hi everyone, here are a few more free form questions about reality TV to help me out with my project and maybe generate some stimulating discussion. It would be interesting to see what people think... Look forward to your replies!
Anika 1) What is your favourite reality TV show? 2) Describe the reasons why you like reality TV. 3) If you have ever considered being a reality TV contestant what were your reasons? 4) What kind of people do you like to see on your favourite reality TV show? 5) Does reality TV improve or detract from your social life? Explain why. |

1) BB
2) It's addictive, and you get to see real people in the sense that they're not characters, and how they interact with each other. While BB contestants aren't normally your average people, they still are being their true selves (to an extent in some cases, mind you), rather than playing a role. The good thing about BB is, if they are putting on an act, just how long can they keep it up? It's interesting to watch. 3) Mainly for the experience, to see how I'd cope in that sort of environment. If fame and money came out of something like that, all the better. 4) Funny, down-to-earth people. People who aren't afraid to speak their minds. People who don't mind being individuals so they're true to themselves. 5) It can do both really. In some cases I guess it improves it because you have a lot to discuss with friends etc. if they watch the show, although it's not so good if they don't. And in the latter case sometimes you choose to simply stay at home to keep up for fear of missing out on what goes on every day, rather than going out somewhere. |
