Default Probably a good time...

It's probably a good time to say, whatever your politics, good luck tomorrow with your choice of evils!

Friday will be just another day, the world won't have changed that much and a cheese sandwich will still taste like a cheese sandwich!

Your vote counts.
Doesn't matter who gets in, you done your best for whoever you vote for.
You never know, your candidate might get in.
My vote has gone off, I am not expecting a good result here this time around, but I have to keep the faith.

Very true. I forget how close the vote was during the 2015 GE between Labour/Tory, but the campaigning from the politicians and repoorting from the media has just been a bit of a ****fest

Make sure you truly understand what you are actually voting for. Don't vote based on headlines or catchphrases, make your decision based on which party's policies speak to you more.

Or simply vote for your current MP because they are doing a good job and have good values. Whoever gets in your MP has a vote that counts in their party. Don't be afraid to ask where they stand on things that matter to you.

Me too. Brexit was amazing, they thought it was all over for leave after exit polls.

Whatever happens tomorrow, we can't take away the fantastic campaign from the Labour party. If nothing else, Corbyn has moved politics away from two parties that were very similar (Tories and New Labour). There are now, at last, two clear distinctions between the Conservative and Labour party. If there has been a campaign winner it is Labour and I'm very happy about that.

I wholeheartedly agree. I still anticipate the result to be a disaster, but I've been very impressed with the way both Corbyn and Labour have conducted this campaign. I may have voted for him on two occasions, but even I had doubts about his leadership capabilities going into this election, and he's quelled all of those regardless of the result.

I expect the party to descend into another unnecessary civil war and more than anything else I hope the left prevail. This campaign and consistent polling have proven that these policies are popular (I think electoral victories are largely won in terms of 'leadership', so it won't be a rejection of them), and have - I sincerely hope - engaged more (young) people in politics than ever before. Certainly for me I'm most excited about casting a vote for a party that finally stands for what I believe in. Having two distinct parties on completely different ideological platforms is great for democracy, I will never understand the opposition.

Quite simply, I have absolutely no desire for a return to the wishy-washy, neoliberal nonsense of centrism. If people want to vote for austerity, if they want to vote for the dismantling of public services, for the deaths of disabled people, then they can do so. Having an opposition party which is in fact Tory-lite does nobody any good. I'm sure most people realise by now that I am in total despair at what is looming, and that I don't have much hope. But I do for the future. It may take twenty years, but I do think after a generational shift, and another decade of the Conservatives tearing this country apart, that people will wake up. The effects of austerity have to trickle down to the 'I'm alright Jack' brigade eventually, and maybe then turkeys will stop voting for Christmas. It will not happen overnight, the future is bleak, the battle is going to bitter and nasty, but I know one day we'll be proven right. It's just a waiting game - the question of course is just how bad are things going to get before we get there? A terrifying prospect.

Thanks for the little party political broadcast for Labour (again) above, now let's keep it out of this thread. Thanks.

I'm just gutted that witch called an election on the day I'm moving house! I usually like to sit up all night and watch the results but I won't be able to as we'll have an early start!

Indeed. We finally have a Labour party thats actually left wing.

Tories will win tomorrow. No doubt about it. But Corbyn has proved that hes not actually as weak as the MPs who threw the dummies out of the pram thought he was anyway, and he has cut Mays lead significantly. She would not have called this election if she didn't think it would be a landslide in her favour...the arrogance was pretty misplaced I think and she has ran the most negative campaign I have ever witnessed. But with the whole Brexit thing...she would have had to take a dump on the queens face to lose completely tbh, and even if she did that I am not totally sure she could have ever lost

Long may an actual left wing Labour party continue.

But yes, congrats to Tory voting members. I don't really think any 'luck' is necessary here lol

Yeah, the fact the Tories and Murdoch have had to resort to smears and character assassinations (and still failed) shows they were scared and we ran them close, even if there does end up being Tory gains
