Default Results of the Shopping Task are in..

The results of the first Big Brother 2017 shopping task are in - did the housemates pass?

On Tuesday morning the housemates woke up to find out the bungalow had been transformed in to 'Big Brother's Village'.

As part of a brand new task, former CBB housemates Marnie Simpson, Nicola McLean and Gemma Collins joined the house.

The current housemates had to look after them and take on jobs around the Big Brother village from making beds and cleaning the garden to providing salon treatments and cooking food.

Appointed Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively, Sukhvinder Javeed and Kayleigh were put in charge and assigned the jobs, although there weren't enough jobs for everyone.

Jobless housemates only had cold tinned food to eat. The mayor could also sack the workers at any time and any housemates who are jobless at the end of the task would miss out on the luxury shopping budget.

This evening in the house it was down to the celebs to announce the results.

And it was revealed that the housemates had PASSED the task, meaning those with jobs will enjoy a luxury shopping budget this week.

But it meant that the jobless housemates at the end of the task - Ellie, Kayleigh, Lotan and Rebecca - had a basic budget.

However there was one last twist when Big Brother invited the celeb housemates to 'save' one of the jobless housemates from a week on rations.

They picked Lotan with Gemma concluding: "'Cause basically I fancy him."

Nicola added: "Because we feel like out of the four of them, Lotan has made the effort to make sure we've had a good time."

Big Brother 2017 continues nightly on Channel 5.

Giving different housemates different shopping budgets still makes absolutely no sense

The aim of the task was to do your job well enough to impress Sukhvinder enough for her to not sack you and leave you unemployed...I think.

I like it, I've said they should do this for a while now cause it's akin to Have/Have Nots in BBUS/Can

They're always looking for tacky ways to manufacture drama but actually one of the simplest methods is to make half the house go hungry

I'm not sure they have literal budgets and shopping lists anymore, isn't there a set shopping list for "haves" and basic rations for "have nots"?

It was a task they were never going to fail. The whole point is the split between the luxury budget and the basic budget to cause drama in the future.

Does these mean the celebs have gone now??

Wish the losing ones had of been Rebecca, Sukh and KAyleigh. I reckon this would have caused the most drama as these 3 are most likely to bitch on about it and kick off iMO

Nah.............Sukhvinder put loads into that task so it would have sucked if she was punished as a consequence. I'm surprised they passed anyway but they'd have stood no chance if Sukhhi hadn't been so determined. She's a trooper!

Out of the slovenly, immature lot who did the best to **** the task up i think the three who will miss out are deserving of what they got. Slobs!

The slackers had done loads before that. They think they're on ****ing Love Island/EOTB or something and ''didn't come here to do work''. Selfish, selfish people.
If you remember correctly the reason Sukhvinder stroped into the other room and slept there was because the twats weren't takingthe task seriously.Even the 'celebs' picked up on the fact that they'd done loads that could have potentially failed the task for thembefore Sukhi slept in with Imran.

Seemed to be coz Lotan was entertaining the guests BB did make out that keeping them happy WAS part of the task

Don't actually remember them doing anything that could have been a fail before that. I know a bunch of them purposely did nothing in tonights show though

The whole Ellie & Chanelle deciding they weren't gonna' wait,as they were supposed to, for the 'celebs' to start eating and then all the workers were supposed to eat together was all before the bedroom thing.
Imran spent 3+ hours preparing food for the entire house plus special meals for the 'celebs' and then those two (followed by Typical Tom and the gang!) couldn't wait a few extra minutes to ensure they didn't get a fail.
Kayleigh also tried to ruin it by encouraging other workers to just go and eat 'restricted' foods that were only for the celebs (chocolate & sweets and stuff). Deborah/Hannah were telling her that this would possibly cause them to fail as it was clearly not allowed but Kayleigh just acted like they weren't even speaking and carried on encouraging people. She was obviously more invested in winding Sukhvinder up than she was even considering other people being punished/losing the task!

This was ALL before Sukhi slept in the other room!

I was amazed that they passed the task in the end but i think the reason BB 'let' them pass was so that some of the worst people who gave no ****s about others or passing the task were amongst the jobless people who would miss out on the luxury budget.

I'm all for rule-breaking/rebels etc. in there but when you're fully aware that it's the entire house that's gonna' suffer because of you wanting to be personally vindictive to someone then you just have to push your selfishness aside.

At least Kayleigh will either be evicted or spend the week on a basic budget while others are on a luxury one and some kind of in-house justice will have been served!

I miss the days of tasks actually having rules.

So you're telling me that after countless rule breaks of people not doing their job, sleeping in the wrong bed and pretty much causing a mutiny that they still passed.

MESS.

Ridiculous. I thought no one could be swooped, then suddenly Gemma Collins intervened and Joe was rescued due to his age...even though he keeps banging on about how young he is...no way should they have passed the task but it was always going to end like this

I think BB is playing the long game.At some point they will want all of the house to spend a week on basic rations and giving a pass this week when so many failed will make them think they can getaway with it again.

i think because of Raph and Charlotte's good work, but that is being ignored for some reason

and apparently Charlotte has been paying attention very well to what's going on in the house, observing a lot, same as what Raph is doing

well then they would've had a fight with Sukh, and a fight against her isn't one you should be doing when put up for eviction

so i applaud Raphie and Charlotte then for keeping their cool, also a reason the both of them should definitely stay, we don't need a house with only loudmouthed idiots

that's why i want air time for Charlotte, cause i think she could be a funny housemate
