The same for me.

Haven't seen all the films, but of what I have the books are much better.

DH part 1 was the best film, also the darkest to me. Also they changed the composer and that freshened it up.

Never read the books

I'm just currently reliving all the movies with my son....I tried to force them on him in the past but he wasn't interested but now he loves them too.

I have seen most, but not all
Sis, films rarely live up to books imo. Films are always shorter and limit the imagination. Tho must admit some casting decisions in this series were inspired.
But will try to watch them when I'm in a Potter mood next.

Oh the graveyard scenes were good, even if they weren't a patch on the book.

But the rest of it, particularly the tournament, were pants.

That's the thing though Dumbledore was rarely portrayed with any anger or aggression whereas Gambon played him as a cantankerous old twat, which he wasn't supposed to be IMO.

He did play the King's Cross sequence well though and I did enjoy him in PoA as he played it more with a bit of a twinkle in his eye.

Thought this casting was bad too.

Umbridge should've looked like the slug lady from Monsters Inc.

The maze was better in the film (and I way prefer the book) the concept of the mae making them lose their sanity was more effective than the random spiders etc. The lake and dragon were done perfectly too
