Are you talking about the actor that went on a racist tirade against Indian people? because that kind of speaks for itself.

The whole political bias thing only comes into play in elections so it really shouldn't have affected comments she made recently.

How is it even controversial? She's not saying that everyone should consider it, she's saying that she would...

Although I suppose it's the "if I felt like a burden" part as that's exactly what euthanasia campaigners want to avoid. People who are still in themselves happy enough to be alive choosing it because they feel like a burden. When euthanasia is considered, it should really only be when quality of life has become so poor (or will soon become so poor), and with no chance for improvement, that the person themself just doesn't want to carry on with it. Not because they feel like an emotional, or even worse, financial drain on other people.

the producers of Corry have always been very careful, and they have made it very clear to those that work on the show.

Its not about it being near election time, they won't tolerate perceived political bias at any time, and they should be commended for it.

IDK. I would say any reason is valid as long as you are in the right frame of mind.

I would do it to lessen the burden tbh. Assuming I was eating up all my kids wages and basically giving them a crap life as they were having to care for me. I wouldn't tell them that was the reason of course or they would feel responsible for it. But yeah...being a burden is a valid reason along with quality of life IMO.
