Default Dallas returns on 27th May

Justin Lee Collins’ Bring Back… Dallas will air on Sunday 27th May at 9pm, raising questions about BB8 scheduling.

According to ultimatedallas.com, who were involved in making the programme, the show has been given a 9pm slot in late May by Channel 4. But what does it mean for Big Brother 8? Does the show launch after Sunday 27th? Or perhaps the highlights shows will return to the traditional 10pm slot?
Channel 4 say they won’t reveal the launch date just yet, but speculation is continuing of a possible launch on Thursday 24th May or Thursday 31st May. The highlights show have traditionally aired at 10pm, but recent series have seen shifts to 9pm either for entire run or for chunks of the series.

Bring Back… Dallas is the follow-up last year’s Bring Back… The A-Team special, which reunited most of the cast of the hit US show including Celebrity Big Brother star Dirk Benedict. It aired after the BB7 launch.

IIf BB has started by then, then i wouldnt be suprised if they did show BB at 8pm so to boost ratings for Bring Back Dallas.

I still reckon the 31st May for the start date, it seems to fit, what with Dermot not starting BBLB till June etc.

The 31st would be a good date for launch. That's the day before I get holidays for Summer.

This will not happen, sorry. At this year's channel 4 AGM, bosses are specifically looking to increase their 9pm audience share and Big Brother was top of their agenda.

Yes, but that is why BB7 moved it to the 10.00pm slot in the last week - better ratings and killed off Celebrity Love Island. Plus, more people are at home at 10.00pm, whilst there are less people at home at 9.00pm.
On Weekdays, BB is only up against the news at 10.00pm, but at 9.00pm, it is up against New Tricks, Sea of Souls, The Apprentice. The list could go on.

They're maybe more people at home at 10pm but there is a larger TV audience in the 9-10pm timeslot. The Average TotalTV audience peaks within this time. There maybe more competition in the 9-10pm slot but this is when the majority of people are watch TV. The main focus of Channel 4's core objectives this year is to improve their viewing share in this timeslot. Believe me, the majority of highlight shows will be broadcast at 9pm.

The 9pm slot for Channel 4 is usually around 2 million, and so putting BB8 in the 9pm slot would increase the audience share then. BUT, it won't help BB's ratings increase BECAUSE of the competition. Channel 4 IS Big Brother, and if it weren't for BB, C4 wouldn't be as popular or have as much viewers.
So, I doubt C4 are doing it to increase the 9pm audience, but Big Brother's audience.

I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure CH4 know what they are doing
