Default Big Bruv caught in porn scam

From The Sun

BIG BROTHER fans were shocked when an internet porn site tricked them into watching X-rated material.

The Aussie series was caught up in controversy within hours of the show kicking off on Saturday... but this time it wasn't because of anything the contestants had done.

Reality show enthusiasts thought they were being offered live online streaming of the famous house - only to discover they were being led to a website serving porn.

The scam is thought to have been a complex marketing scheme to entice people to the new porn site.

From the Daily Telegraph

AN Internet porn site has tricked thousands of Big Brother fans by claiming to offer a pirated live stream of the show only to switch the website to serving porn today.

Big Brother makers were foiled on Saturday when the recording of last night's opening show was streamed live by audience members using mobile phones.

Three teenagers were ejected from the among the 2000 fans attending the pre-record show at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast.

Producers of the show were able to pin point where the teenage boys were sitting from the photos they had uploaded on to a website.

Ten's programming chief David Mott was first alerted to the live stream by his son scouring the web from home.

Pictures from the pre-recorded show were shown on a website last night, which claimed it would be serving a live stream from today as a result of problems with the legitimate Big Brother site.

Channel Ten's Big Brother site experienced security problems when fans tried to sign up for premium content which provides a live stream of the show.

The pirate site last night promised fans of the show that construction was in progress and to come back today for a live stream.

However when thousands of fans logged on the site this morning (widely publicised on sites including The Daily Telegraph Online, they were served hardcore pornography.

The scam appears to have been an elaborate marketing campaign to lure a large base of fans for the popular show to a fledgling porn site.

The Daily Telegraph Online was alerted to the porn site by readers furious at the original web address for Big Brother pirate images being redirected to porn.

Fans of the popular reality TV show were still furious at problems with the official Big Brother site, which continued to experience problems this morning.

Influencial fan site Behind Big Brother was recommending fans to steer clear of the official site until security and payment issues were being resolved.
