Started watching this new Colombian TV Show the other day and i'm hooked after the first two Episodes.
'Surviving Escobar - Alias JJ' is a drama series based on the book written by John Jairo Velásquez (aka ''JJ'' aka "Popeye") lieutenant and chief of the group of assassins who worked for infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar, leader of the Colombian Medellin Cartel, recounting his life starting towards the end of Escobar's life and then after his assassination. Velásquez is believed to have personally assassinated at least 350 people on behalf of Escobar.
The show was made in Colombia and is therefore in Spanish but it is available through Netflix (or from your favorite Torrent/Download site!) with hardcoded English subtitles.
The entire first Series is available now (released on August 1st) and consists of a whopping 69 Episodes!!!! That's a pretty incredible number of episodes (considering each episode is 50 mins long!) by any Country's standards and enough to keep anyone busy for a while.
