its a mess and she is a mess and unless she goes labour could probably defeat her, that is how bad she is

the days of the slogan, the BS, the fake PC politicians who are scared to say "dead people" or "no my prayers are not with the families because 1. that is a BS fake platitude and 2. prayer to who, the fictitious god in the big invisible sky F off and dont ask me another stupid question again you obsequious twat" are gone

We need people who say what they mean and mean what they say

and if you get upset or dont like it tough, go make a cup of tea and vote for someone else. Wait what Twitter is outraged? Good tell them to f off and get a hobby

I think she should probably step down soon. We do need a period of stability with Brexit but she has lost all credibility.

No, this is what she should be focussing on. She is employed by us.

The Conservative Party is locked in a “Mexican stand-off” as plotters prepare to try and force Prime Minister Theresa May from office.

A group of around 30 MPs, including former ministers, is planning to go to party whips next week and ask that she stands down now “with dignity”.

The rebel MPs include people who served in David Cameron’s administration and a number favour Home Secretary Amber Rudd as a successor.

Boris Johnson’s chances of launching a challenge appear to have hit the rocks, with MPs “alienated” by his public interventions which destabilised Ms May during party conference.

The annual gathering of the party faithful ended with a disastrous speech from Ms May, which saw her subject to a comedian’s prank, losing her voice in a coughing fit and standing in front a disintegrating stage set.

One of the people supporting the plot told The Independent: “There have been lots of conversations, and there are around 30 to 35 names.

Surely even Tory voters see her as a bit of a joke now? I don't actually know many people who admit to voting Tory but the few I do know think may is terrible as PM
Whether you like her or not the ‘weak’ thing to do would be to slink away from all the personal attacks and derogatory rhetoric, often from those with a clear agenda. Just go quietly to save face.

Anyone who thinks it is the easy option to stand up there and take it have a strange perception of what makes a person ‘weak’.

I'm sure she would love to, and I can't blame her for that tbh

May is a socially awkward person, so she is at a distinct disadvantage to begin with. She really isn't leader material. She isn't a motivator, she clearly isn't an organiser as she couldn't mobilise the party faithful at the election. She is insular, trusting only a few of her closest advisors, so when they mess up, like they did at the last election, she was completely vulnerable.

Everyone has there own way, and there is no right or wrong if it gets the results. But May didn't get the results expected of her. She was 100% responsible for that failure and she cannot recover from that. She won't fight the next election as leader of the party whenever that happens to be, but there is equally no reason to rush the appointment of a new leader. A year to 18 months before the next election is plenty time for a new leader to find their feet.
