Default weinstein law discussion ?

weinstein law discussion ? 15.10.17

when this was all exposed
clearly told never again would it unravel
absolutely hate the name when this i composed
this man is as low as jimmy savile.
is it a question of power
or a sickness to do with conniving
all the rumors were not sour
if only taken seriously when arriving.
we do need to alter
not change from the bottom
at the very top its no water
its pure vile spreading rotten.
we are all equal
is this not a school teach
to destroy this never ending sequel
taking back power is my village preach.
every business must address
to every victim i chuck a line
if you are suffering or in any mess
speak out as we can not repeat weinstein.

( what i am asking is do we need some sort of law for the people at the top like weinstein so people can come forward with out fear and report any wrong doing ? or is that idea just unworkable ? )

The law works pretty well I think. Once a high profile person is accused, their names are spread around so that people who were also assaulted can come forward too...as before they felt they would never be believed or said nothing for a variety of reasons. And in the case of Weinstein...the accused will often try to form a defense before prosecution and will publicly admit their guilt, as he has done. Tried to say he is a sex addict and that he will go to rehab

The only issue with this is, IF a person is falsely accused. But as false accusers are rare, this is not too much of an issue prosecution wise. It IS a problem when their names are spread around before a conviction is made though. As mud does stick. A lot of people believe Cliff Richard is guilty, when nothing came of the investigation as they say no smoke without fire and that.

I'm very cynical about this, if it has been going on for so long then why now? Why is it only a massive 'breaking' story now is it a smokescreen to hide something else?

is it just that victims just weren't believed then if you were the 'hollywood elite'? Like here even now if you make an accusation against a high profile person there is the automatic assumption you are a crank, that's if it even gets made public.
