I always watch the X-Factor and certainly love the show.

I know that many people don't like Simon Cowell, as he speaks his mind and doesn't mind criticising someone so much, that he makes them cry or explode

But I do like him and without him on the X-Factor, it would never be the same.

I love Fearne Cotton Very attractive and Very good at her job. Certainly a positive choice for presenter.

I spelt her name as "Fern" before, Whoops!!

Anyway, I watch the "Grease is the word" show also, and I know that Brian Friedman is not afraid to "tell it how it is"

So, we could have a very interesting show? and Simon could face some real criticism from his panel judges.

Poor Simon

(will anyone feel sorry for him?)

I watched the X-Factor once, it was during my first week in england in november, it's awful ! In order to understand what happens between the judge specialist of the groups and the other one for individual singers, I was drunk (lol). And the host, is so dull and stupid. It makes my laugh to see something like that. At all, I liked Simon because he's funny when he criticizes. I knew that Leona will be the winner coz she's hot LOL, and I was right. Everybody was sad because Nikita (I think it's her) has been evicted, it was so funny
My english family loves that but fortunatly, the next 2 saturdays I was out with my friends and my exchange.

Hey, come on Remy

It's not that bad...

All of these talent shows are pretty much the same. Always judges, always auditionees & always drama + plenty of criticism, from both sides.

There are plenty of these types of shows in France.

What do you think of the French ones? Do you watch them?

I don't watch them but there are two shows about that:

*Star Academy, since 2001, the seventh season will start in september, 16 contestants are locked in a castle during 16 weeks, there is a daily show + a big 3 hours show on friday night. 3 people are nominated by the teachers, 1 is saved by the public vote on friday, and, that's a great twist I think, the other contestants evict one of the 2 remain nominees, that's evil ! The last 7 contestans make the big "Star Academy tour" all around the france during 3 months. The winner has a €1.000.000 contract with a big label.

*Nouvelle Star: the english version of Pop Idol. The 5th season is on air, and it's a huge success. By the way, this year is the most controversal ever because all the evicted singers are black. For the press, it's a racial discrimination.

The 2 shows are really different because, since french Big Brother has been axed, Star Academy became the "Big Brother" but with music in it. We watch their every moves, their arguments, their romances. But with Nouvelle Star, there is only one show per week, and we don't watch their life, only the performances. It's better because we see only the talent and not their "behaviours outside".
But I watch any of them, it's rubbish !

The only real-tv show that I watch is Big Brother all around the world, that's it !

I don't mind Fearne cotton and they'll need the 4th judge for the 14-16 year olds.

Star Acadmey is from the UK. Over there its was called 'Fame Academy' but was axed a few year ago. A celebrity version still happens every two years though.

I've seen some of your Star Academy and it looked so rubbish.

The X Factor is orginal and diffrent from any other same old talent show.
