the only thing I didn't like was that the first few tasks were a bit crap but the candidates carried it

Iconic but Sarah, Charles, and James are kinda coasting entertainment-wise. And while I largely enjoy most of the candidates they kind of lack being fleshed out, save for the intricately three-dimensional Scary SHOE Liz
