Default BB house to be blown up at end of show? Daily Star [merged]

Now to get away from all of the eye nonsense which has clouded the forum over the past few days.

The Daily Star (yes, that paper that everyone trusts and believes) today claims the Big Brother house will be packed with dynamite and blown up following the conclusion of Big Brother 8.

The headline is: B. BRO BIG BLOW

I do doubt this will happen, they will after all need the house to modify for cbb6 (if that goes ahead)!

Front cover is below.

If it is gonna be blown up it will be after CBB6, because i doubt they will want to have to recreate the house at Hammersmith just to make a few modifications for a celebrity series.

That is provided CBB6 goes ahead.

B.BRO BIG BLOW
10/05/07
BIG Brother chiefs are plotting an explosive finale for this year’s set of wannabes – they will blow up the house.

The series ends on August 31 – the same day the show’s planning permission to stay at Elstree TV Studios runs out.

After five years the show is moving to a new site next year and producers have been told they must get rid of the house within hours of Davina McCall revealing the winner.

A source said: “The house has got to go and what better way to end the show than to have the place blown up or bring in a digger to demolish it.”

We can reveal the show will kick off on May 30 and will last for 94 days – its longest-ever run.

Davina, 39, will unveil the new housemates in a live launch show but they will only have 48 hours to settle in before BB chiefs spring a surprise.

Insiders claim an ex-lover of one of the housemates could be sent into the house. Another possibility is an early eviction.

A source said: “It’s set to be a long hot summer of shocks, surprises and twists. Nothing’s been set in stone yet.

“But whatever they’ve got up their sleeve, it’s gonna be explosive.”

Show makers Endemol have already been looking at new sites for the Big Brother house in west London for next year.

Potential premises include Pinewood Studios, Bucks, and Shepperton Studios, Middlesex.

Hertsmere Council said it had not received a new planning application from Endemol to stay at Elstree, Herts, in the future.

A council spokeswoman said: “The current planning application allows them to stay on site until August 31 2007 – but after that they must go.”

BB chiefs are currently sorting out the final line-up, with up to 14 contestants set to enter the house.

Builders are also working round-the-clock to ensure the new-look house is finished in time and a bigger swimming pool is due to be installed within the next week.

I don't think they will blow it up. What a load of money would be wasted on cameras and tech equip.

It wouldn't surprise me to see it blown up, while the final interviews etc are being done, they clear everything they can out,and the finale is a huge fireworks display of the house!!
The info in the comic (daily Star!) sounds pretty beliveable and official like too this time, maybe the real "leaks" have started!
Big Brother 8 is well and truly on its way

Controlled explosions of certain areas and an overly massive firework display can give the impression that its being blown up.

They can't blow it up on the final night because of all the stuff that'll still be inside the house such as the housemate's luggage. Would be great seeing though .

I never said they were going to blow it up , but you can still throw around a few dummy explosions and give the impression that its blowing up. Like they do in just about every movie youve ever seen.

the wont blow up the house because

1.. the havent built a new one yet.. uless the next season is being filmed in a piece of scaffolding

2... they would need to sell all of the bb8 stuff before they blow it up at the end of season 8

3... it is ilegal to blow a building up in the uk.. it would have to be slowly torn apart by a digger.. and then recycled.......

4.. ITS THE DAILY STAR !!!! HAVE THEY EVER BEEN RIGHT ??!

It might have been quite appropriate to have blown up the last house, but if they were really planning to do a stunt like that there is no chance that they would tell the Daily Star.

This story is an excuse for the newspaper to use the words `BB Blow` as if there is some problem about the forth coming BB event. The daily Star has sunk to amazingly low levels during the last year, not that it was ever a real newspaper anyway.
