i thought an actor like Anthony Hopkins would've been a too big name signing for a franchise like transformers, but wow him having signed for this movie, is my most surprising moment for a new movie so far

To be fair, I get it, he can't have many more movies left so why not make himself as comfortable as possible now? An easy role that he could phone in but probably got paid a tonne for.


The first Transformers movie was a great film - colourful, silly, very loud but a lot of fun and with heart. But it seems like they were just lucky in having that one coming together well rather than it being by design, because the franchise has been soulless trash since then.

I have not watched the newest ones. And actually didn´t remember/know that Mark Wahlberg is starring on them now.

But good, they have certainly upgraded the lead in terms of acting talent.
