Thing that I don't get is, Alex's mum passed not long before the show started and she had wanted her daughter to do SCD for years, why is it frowned upon to pay tribute to a loved one?

I feel sorry for anyone who thinks badly of someone for dedicating a performance to a loved one who has passed away, says a lot about them if they think it is for attention rather than a heartfelt dedication.

We only have Alex's word on this ,and if she was truly grieving there is no way she could concentrate on the routines

The minute you give up your life after someone dies the minute you go into dark dark places that are hard to come out off

How disgusting to judge someone else's grief.

Not everybody grieves in the same way.

I actually don't really like Alex, always found her kind of insincere but to make insinuations that she mustn't give a crap her mum died because she can concentrate on the routines is absolutely vile.

We all grieve in different ways, when my dad died I never even took the day off school. When my Grandad died I had to take 2 weeks off as I coped differently to their deaths. If someone insinuated I didn't give a **** about someone I loved I would be furious. How dare anyone judge how someone copes.

If somebody in your family passed away how would you feel if someone criticised the way you deal with it?

Agreed. When my mum died I went back into work the day after.....after sitting in a hospice for a week, I needed the normality. I fell apart after funeral but I think I was in shock.

Mollie is a classy person, she and Alexandra are complete opposites to each other, but still Moll gets along so well with her and everyone else of celebs and pro dancers

Will be using all my votes on her and hopefully it's enough, if she's bottom 2 again I hope she still manages to make it through, she's worked so hard and after all the vitriol that has been thrown at her, a place in the final is what she deserves. No matter if she wins or not, she's thoroughly entertained me and she's the only one I will be watching back after the series ends.

Yeah exactly everyone handles grief differently .
Some people have to stay busy or they'll go stir crazy , and others feel too distraught and emotional to rush back into things . Nobody should be criticised or judged for it .

People are also forgetting life goes on , and when you lose somebody you never get over it but time helps to heal things but obviously the pain is still there but you eventually get on with things.

And I'm disgusted by insensitive comments I see , they wouldn't like it if people ridiculed their grieving process .

Agreed, I coped really well after the initial shock and funeral but then about 12 months later I was a wreck. I lost mum 3 years ago last week and even now, the grief is raw and sneaks up on me at times. We are adept, as humans, at developing coping mechanisms, for me it was work and my son, but then out of the blue grief smacks you in the face, particularly in times of stress. Alex and Debbie have both been criticized for mentioning lost lives ones but as both of the people they lost were in the public eye, its pretty understandable

To me Alex’s mum wouldn’t want her to miss out on this opportunity because of her death she would want her to do it and Alex is. When someone dies pushing people/opportunities away is not good for them, they need to keep going and carry on, my uncle is mentally unwell because he pushed everything away. Alexandra is being strong which is getting her through it all which is what her mum would have wanted

vote loads for Alexandra & Gorka the Corka

Joe & Gemma are already safe finalists, now alex and debbie for their places in the final but that's not too difficult with the judges also on their side

So sorry for your loss Annie, it's an awful thing to lose any loved one and no one can say how anyone should grieve, some people find keeping themselves busy helps them to not be a constant mess and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, we have the times when we're alone to break down and let it all out even when we don't want to fall apart.

money may be one of the reasons but Alexandra loves performing which is why she entered X Factor and won because of her talent no one can deny that since her singing Listen and singing with Beyonce was her moment that got her the win.
