Default Labour Lord Adonis quits Government Brexit role

This has been on the cards for a long time.

His lordship certainly has a lot to say on the subject. The attitude of the house of Lord's over Brexit does make one wonder whether it's time that body was also elected rather than placed through privilege. Who are they to try to subvert the will of the voting public?

I don't mind having a second house to keep a check on the MP's, but I just can't accept that they are not accountable to the British people for their actions. They have been talking about reforming it for decades and its just not good enough anymore that they don't sort it out.

As for Lord Adonis, his objectives have always been clear, he doesn't give one jot about the will of the British people and thinks he knows best. He typifies all that is currently wrong with the house of lords and their superior, elitist attitude
