They won an army of fans after winning gold in the 1984 Winter Olympics with their iconic bolero routine. And Dancing on Ice legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have reunited, taking to the ice to show they haven't lost any of their skill after 45 years dancing together. In an exclusive video released ahead of the Dancing on Ice tour later this year, the pair can be seen donning their skates before heading to the rink, showcasing several of their famous moves. The video starts as the pair put on their skates, with Christopher revealing that while they had performed together on stage in rollerblades, this was their first time back on the ice in four years. As Jayne admitted the moment was 'exciting', Chris added that he 'hoped we're smiling as much when we come off.' The skating champion then confidently said: 'We'll come back', before crossing his fingers jokingly. The video then shows the pair returning to their iconic pairing as if no time had passed, sweeping along the ice performing turns and forward crossover moves. Torvill and Dean became international stars after winning gold in the 1984 Winter Olympics with their Bolero routine, and have now been skating together for 45 years. While they are both in separate relationships – Christopher with Karen Barber and Jayne with her husband of 27 years, Phil Christensen – the pair have previously admitted to being romantically involved once before when they were both single. ![]() ![]() |
