What is clear to me about Ann is that she is not comfortable viewing other peoples displays of affection and physical touching and sexualised play. This isn't' specific to men with men, it's any people. CBB is a television show but at the moment Ann is living inside it and she is fully allowed to feel this way and to be uncomfortable. That isn't a crime, she isn't hurting anyone else.
My own grandmother was the same, she didn't like you draping all over each other in her presence. She wouldn't have wanted to watch me kissing anyone or lap sitting or anything like that. I think this discomfort stemmed from her own life and being raised at a time when people didn't display public affection. In 2018 we have almost shifted to the other end of the spectrum when you look at shows like Geordie Shore where people have a lot of casual sex on tv. Even BB and CBB have been all about the showmances, and people jumping into bed together. In some ways Ann's disapproval comes from a different time when moral standards were different but it does make you wonder if society has gone a bit far in the wrong direction with this. Maybe to a degree she has a point. We have almost become immune to the degree of sexuality we are viewing on TV. If I'm honest I watch BB for the drams and I enjoy seeing the social experiment side to it which has had a wonderful reboot in this years show. But I can't say I really enjoy seeing some Towie/Geordie bird with her tits out or Wayne Sleep's todger. I'd be mortified if I was watching one of my kids behaving in the same way. I'm not even a prude but it isn't what keeps me interested and it's not what I watch for so I can kind of understand Ann to a point not wanting to watch all that stuff, particularly live and right in front of her. I think a lot of the people criticising her are on the wrong track and a lot of people are influenced by what they've read about her long past voting inclinations in her job as an MP. Even there some of the influence is without the context of her reasoning behind how she voted at the time. She doesn't have an ism or a phobia, she is old fashioned and the product of a different generation.
