i will only be watching bb (if i was in the country...im on holday) because...you always hear what happened on the internet or next weeks episode of the apprentice...the soap awards...big woopthey will say who won what all the next day. BUT big brother...you can only see this once and you never know what will happen!

It should not affect the quality of the launch night in any way eyeonu. If anything it will enhance it , with the producers throwing everything on the table to garner audiences way from those afformentioned shows.

Anyone who is a fan of Big Brother, will always know how important "Launch night" is.

To see all the housemates, one-by-one going into the BB house is always exciting.

Some will be quite nice and ordinary, but others will be outrageous.

I think that the ratings will be pretty high personally

But as there is some competition, "like you say", then it may make a few tape it and watch it the next morning or something

Trust ITV1 and BBC1 to put the Soap Awards and The Apprentice on when Big Brother 8 starts. There only doing it for ratings nothing else. Its so annoying. No show will ever win over Big Brother which has been going alot longer than any other show on tv. Big Brother WILL get the biggest ratings over them all.

Apprentice bores me silly, I only watch the ending to see who goes and I'm sure someone will youtube the soap awards. What bb should have done is really pushed it this year, put adverts on that not only say stuff like '10 days' and 'big brother is back' but adverts explaining what big brother is to people who have never even heard of it.

Yeah, but there's heavy competiton this year which usually means lower ratings. I guess the launch will be a test of fan's loyalty and the show's future.
