I just read this over at Big Blagger website its a statment from Channel 4 on the day and time Big Brother 8 will be on. Its says the launch show will start at 9pm but I thought it was going to start at 8:30pm. I am really confused now. Heres the article:

"Channel 4 have today confirmed that Big Brother will be commencing Wednesday 30th May.

On Friday 25th May, E4 is showing two exclusive new pre-BB shows. The first, at 10pm, is Big Brother – After They Were Housemates. The show catches up with contestants from previous series to see how their BB experience has affected them since leaving the most famous house in Britain. Did BB2’s Paul ever become an “international rock star”? Did BB6’s Craig ever get it together with Anthony? Did BB7’s Nikki fulfill her dream of marrying a professional footballer? Find out in this one-off definitive guide to life after Big Brother.

Then, former Big Mouth presenter Russell Brand walks down memory lane and reveals the behind the scenes gossip in Big Brother – According To Russell Brand. Did you know that the original eye logo was Su Pollard from Hi-De-Hi and that BB4’s Gos was the inspiration for the Lionel Ritchie smash Hello? In this one-hour special, Brand reveals the ‘truth’ behind the phenomenon that has been Big Brother for the past eight years.

Then it is launch night, from Wednesday 30th May at 9.00pm join Davina live on Channel 4 as she introduced us to the latest series of Big Brother live from Elstree. Big Mouth launches later the same day with a new presenter at 11.20pm on Channel 4. Then Little Brother launches the next day at 7.30pm on E4.

On Friday 1st June, Big Brother has scheduled an hour long show from 8.30pm on Channel 4 and a second show from 10.30 lasting half an hour."

So is it scheduled to start at 9:00pm and not 8:30pm???.

It starts at 9pm, the 8:30 thing was just guesswork. However I can almost garauntee that the schedule will change as an hour and 15 minutes will never be enough time to put in what 13-14 housemates and reveal the meaning of the eye and have a house tour etc.

I thought it started at 8:30 finishes at 10:00 and then there's a double bill of Ugly Betty. Is this right?

No, seeing as BB launch is on a Wednesday and Betty is on Friday's...

Oh that's it. What about the friday after? There's still one eipsode of Ugly Betty left?

Yup, 2 live shows will take place around one Ugly Betty on Friday the 1st of June. The double bill of Betty next week is nothing to do with BB thats because their usual Friday line-up had finished yesterday. Derren Brown and Peep Show finished last night... They are using 2 episodes of Betty to fill the gap..

I'd rather watch it on two seperate weeks so it will go on for longer.

with regards to ugly betty, there is a double coming up this friday, but the week after there will only be single as big brother stradles it. the final episode of ugly betty will be the week after.
