A very good, lengthy interview with the 4 about the movie. Kinda hints at the ending and stuff too:

Yeah, they're inadvertently revealing the circumstances of the ending.

Spoiler:

So it's all set on that one day (Tate's last) and I guess it will conclude with the sun rising on the next day, her remaining alive.

Spoiler:

It's actually set over three days - February 8th, February 9th and then August 9th [murder date] 1969.

Tbh I don't think there's much she can really talk about, the "ending" (whatever that entails) obviously heavily involves her but mustn't be spoiled and for the most part she's just doing everyday things throughout the film from what I can see (going to the movies, partying, visiting her friend Jay Sebring at his salon etc).

Yeah, true. This is one of those movies they'll all be able to talk about in greater depth a while after its release.

New pretty cool Spanish (?) poster. Not sure about Margot/Brad/Leo’s positioning but the view of the hills and the members of the family is very cool:

I think getting rid of all three of them would've made it better tbh.

Yeah exactly, the scene of the Hollywood Hills and the car (which I assume contains Sharon and co on their way home on “the night”) meeting the Family is enough. I suppose though if you’ve got a trio like this you’re going to want to make sure people know they’re in this! Ah well

Inside Rick's house and info about the huge production of the movie set-wise:

Quote:
“It’s Quentin’s love letter to the city he grew up in,” says the film’s production designer, Barbara Ling. No stranger to Los Angeles in the 1960s (she recreated the period's Sunset Strip and Laurel Canyon environs in the 1991 film The Doors), the designer found a wealth of material from the auteur himself. (Among the key visual influences for Tarantino: the Cinerama Dome; Panorama City, CA; the Hullabaloo TV series; and Westerns.) “Being an absolute movie encyclopedia, Quentin ran films from the ’60s”—such as The Wrecking Crew, Valley of the Dolls, and Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice—”at his movie theater once a week for us,” she says. “1969 was such a vivid period of color, particularly in Los Angeles, and there was a feel of neon and Op Art everywhere” that provided a point of reference for the color scheme.

Viewers have a front row seat on a Tarantino time travel machine via the 150 sets that include an array of television and film backlots, the Dalton and Tate houses, the Playboy Mansion, and even an original Taco Bell. Forgoing the use of computer-generated imagery or sets built on the backlot, Los Angeles storefronts, billboards, streets, and exteriors received a meticulously detailed facelift at their actual locations, an authentic touch that adds to the nostalgia. Some locations did not weather the winds of time— such as the Spahn Movie Ranch, a location used to shoot low-budget Westerns in the 1950s that eventually became the home of the Manson family—so they were created from scratch. “The sets were completely burned down in 1970, so all that was left was scrub and rock,” says Ling.

For Rick Dalton’s house, the design crew searched for the perfect ranch house only to encounter one obstacle after another. The goal of a one-story ranch-style midcentury with a sloped ceiling, soffits, and a pool with a great view meant shooting three separate locations instead of one. “It was hard to find something that was not a mega-mansion,” comments Ling. Looking to the character’s story arc, she says, “Rick is somebody who bought a house at the height of his career and hasn’t renovated since he was a bachelor. He was not into the pop culture of the moment. The development of the character was about a TV star in his era, and everything was given to him from a [studio] set, such as the saddle of a horse from a TV show or a movie poster."

This has officially been Rated R or 18 here in the UK, for the usual, obvious reasons. Language, violence etc so, a expect "Tarantino classic"

We finally know what Tim Roth's part was (he didn't make the final cut of the film sadly).

Hollywood men's hairstylist/Manson victim/Tate's ex-turned-best mate Jay Sebring (played by Emile Hirsch) had like a "proper", actual butler at home. Roth played, or was supposed to play, that butler. Tarantino was going for a similar dynamic as Dudley Moore's title character had with his butler in the movie "Arthur".

QT on potential Star Trek movie, DRAGS Simon Pegg:

Quote:
"I will say one thing about Star Trek that I’ve been waiting for someone to bring up. I don’t know if I’ll do it or not. I’ve got to figure it out, but Mark wrote a really cool script. I like it a lot. There’s some things I need to work on but I really, really liked it. I get annoyed at Simon Pegg. He doesn’t know anything about what’s going on and he keeps making all these comments as if he knows about stuff. One of the comments he said, he’s like “Well, look, it’s not going to be Pulp Fiction in space.” Yes, it is! [laughs hard]. If I do it, that’s exactly what it’ll be. It’ll be Pulp Fiction in space. That Pulp Fiction-y aspect, when I read the script, I felt, I have never read a science fiction movie that has this **** in it, ever. There’s no science fiction movie that has this in it. And they said, I know, that’s why we want to make it. It’s, at the very least, unique in that regard."

First proper clip, Kurt Russell’s character visits Rick in his trailer on set and airs his obvious grievances:

Poster looks awesome but they should not have had Brad and Leo on it.

Just having Margot would've been perfect.

Waste to not have him in the film.

I heard today that Tarantino might make a TV series based on the series that the main character of the new film stars in.

He wrote five episodes for it while writing the film.

Here's an article - http://collider.com/quentin-tarantin...ow-bounty-law/

Yeah I heard that! Think it was in a recent interview with Deadline I read that.

Yeah here, good interview! Goes into real detail surrounding the movie, characters, inspo etc: Link

I do know he also bought the rights to Lancer, the real cowboy series from back in the day that features in this movie (Timothy Olyphant and Luke Perry play the two leads James Stacy and Wayne Maunder, who played the characters Johnny Madrid and Scott Lancer respectively). We could be in for possibly a few QT TV Westerns harking back to "The Golden Age"...

OH also, from the Deadline interview (link in post above) QT told what scenes he has put into the final cut of this movie (2 minutes more than the Cannes cut):

Quote:
So the only thing I actually put back basically, I extended a slight little bit of a scene with Sharon Tate, when she picks up a hitchhiker. Then the scene where James Stacy [Timothy Olyphant] talks to Rick [Dalton, DiCaprio’s character] and you suddenly see Rick in The Great Escape, and what would have happened if he was in that movie.
The Great Escape!!!
