Chris Brown has been named in a lawsuit from a woman who claims she was repeatedly raped at his home.

High-profile attorney Gloria Allred announced at a press conference on Tuesday (May 8) that her client had been the victim of "one of the most horrific sexual assault cases [she had] ever seen".

The Los Angeles Times first reported the lawsuit, which alleges that an anonymous woman — called Jane Doe in court filings — was held against her will in Brown's home and raped multiple times by one of his associates.

Jane Doe apparently met the 'Forever' singer and his entourage at a West Hollywood club and later accompanied them to a recording studio, where she says her phone was confiscated on Brown's order.

She ultimately agreed to accompany Brown's group to his home sometime later in order to retrieve her phone, but was allegedly held captive against her will and repeatedly sexually assaulted by one of his friends.

Jane Doe also claims that Brown flashed weapons and plied other women at his home with drugs while she was held captive over the course of several hours on February 23 and the following day.

The woman's mother is said to have ultimately used a phone-tracking app to locate her at Brown's residence and alerted the Los Angeles Police Department, but they were allegedly blocked from entering the home.

Jane Doe's attorney Gloria Allred told reporters that her client had subsequently reported the incident to police once she was freed, but was moving ahead with a civil suit in the meantime.
