I think you can only tell a deserving winning in the last few weeks of a show. You might like other housemates but if they acted up at some point it is bound to go against them at the final hurdle. You can like people for being entertaining but that doesn't mean they deserve to win.

Well last year from launch night I guessed Pete would win, but usually it's hard to pick a winner until atleast 10 out of the 13 weeks into the series.

I always pick during the last few weeks. I think it's mad that people can want someone to win any earlier really, like last year for example people wanted Pete to win on launch night without him even doing anything. Much prefer to wait, suss the housemates out a bit and then decide who my favourites are and who has entertained me.

I normally put them into a 'like' and 'dislike' catergory as soon as they walk into the house. That normally changes within the first few days, however. As for the winner, probably within the last 3-4 weeks.

I think at the beginning, how they are on tv, some fact like this, we can determine the big characters. Last year everybody knew that Richard, Nikki and Pete will make the final 5.
I pick one boy and one girl usually !

Sometimes it's completely obvious from the start like Pete last year.

I think aswell as friendships form you can grow to like people you hated at the start...IF they get on well with whoever you want to win. I think it all comes down to what you want in a winner. If you want someone who is "fit" then you can judge that based on opening night alone...if you want the nicest person to win you look at the show on a whole. If you want the most entertaining to win again you look at it on a whole.

Im usually quite good at picking a winner quite early on, so lets wait and see, then I will give you my verdict!

Last year I loved Nikki and I really hoped she'd win. But as the weeks moved on, I gradually got sick of her tantrums and manipulative acting. By the end I found her pretentious, and I was glad when she was gone. I always liked Aisleyne but I didn't really want her to win, but by the end she was my favourite housemate and I wished she had won.

So you are right, the public's opinions of housemates change every week, so there's no way to tell who'll win until the very end really.

I usually end up picking my favourite in the first couple of weeks and pretty much stick with them so long as they stay in and don't become overly annoying or do something very bad.I'm usually a pretty good judge of character though and don't ever recall going off the person I picked but then have to go with another option when my fave is evicted.
