Anyone who doesn't see the terrifying parallels between the current situation in the US and other events throughout history is surely either willfully blinkered... or actually closet agrees with those events. Pretty much that simple.

At the very least we're getting a good insight into how these "unthinkable" events come to pass. When it comes right down to it... people just don't really give a **** until it's far too late.

I agree. There is a strategy being played out in America right now that is not healthy. It's also interesting that the USA's democracy has been recently downgraded and is no longer top tier. These are worrying times.

I agree with Americas right to build a wall to protect their borders.
However this that he’s doing now is quite chilling to see.Kids locked behind fences prison style crying to go home.
Something they’ll never forget.
There has to be a way to either turn the illegals back or prosecute them without splitting them from their kids.

Surely the parents must shoulder the majority of blame here..they knew the risks, but yet record numbers are trying to come through each month.

Do we feel as much sympathy for the common criminal whos kids are seperated from them when they get locked up.

All these tapes and recordings are designed to tug at the heartstrings like the photo if the kid on the beach.

And that's the line that Trump is using, it's bull**** though and it falls to pieces when you actually fact check it.

Trump could end this in an instant but it's a situation that he can use to his advantage. When criminals are arrested, their kids aren't usually locked into a cage with other kids who've been separated from their parents.

If they think it's worth going through to give their kids a better future, their lives must be pretty hard.

i completely agree, he is holding disabled children in ****ing cages ... what kind of sad bastard would do that for political gain other than a completely loopy dictator. I'm seriously angry about it here, so I can only imagine what people in the USA are thinking

The people that voted Trump into power did so with the full knowledge of who he was and all of his flaws and they ignored all of it because he told them what they wanted to hear and they preferred his fiction to the truth of reality.

They won't care about these kids because they're more invested in Trump's tales and false promises. Who needs facts when these people have their feelings? You don't need to be informed if you can screech fake news at anything you don't want to hear.

The world is ****ed and it's people's inaction and passiveness that's to blame.
