[Ryanair passengers 'bleeding from ears' as flight makes emergency landing in Frankfurt
Oxygen masks were deployed on the Ryanair plane when the cabin became depressurised, forcing the pilots to make a sudden descent.] good job they made it Would be scary if your ears bleed................. https://news.sky.com/story/more-than...kfurt-11436677 Last edited by arista; 15-07-2018 at 11:43 AM. |

How much did extra Ryanair charge them for the oxygen masks?

I wouldn't worry about it tbh, its very rare for anything to go wrong on a flight. I believe you have more chance of dying by being hit on the head by a falling coconut. Oddly enough, the same comparison thats used with shark attacks

how many flights take off every day with no issue, don't worry Ness, you are more likely to be killed on the way to the airport

I ended up with a perforated eardrum on an EasyJet flight back from France about 10 years ago. I was sort of stuffed up with a cold at the time which I think contributed... but I'm convinced the cabin pressure wasn't quite right also . Obviously not as dramatic as this - though that's what the bleeding ears will be.
Perforated eardrums are horrible too. You get this loud, crackling sound every time you swallow. |

..nothing for the masks as they had them on board anyway...but an extra charge for the bleeding ears maybe...as those are added extras that not every flight has...
...seriously, perforated eardrums are awful, as TS said...the whole thing would have been very scary with an emergency landing so the passengers would have been thinking the possibility of the worst outcome, when ears would have seemed unimportant...I’m so glad that everyone is ok and getting medical care for their ears... |
