Jessica Meuse was robbed.

I think that it's been about 9 years.

And I agree with you Joey, people talk about teams like Leeds and Forest underachieving (which is true) but considering we are in the second city we shouldn't be sitting 20th in the table barely ahead of teams like Luton and Barnsley (no offence to their fans) but our owners have let us down over the years sadly. And hopefully we can keep Rooney at bay on Wednesday.

So Luton play Blackburn, Charlton play Leeds, Birmingham play Derby and Boro have got Sheffield Wednesday (probably the easiest game). Genuinely couldn’t predict what the scores will be on Wednesday.

Is that how long it's been for Charlton?!
It doesn't feel that long ago tbh.

Birmingham, Luton and Charlton would be on 51 points. However unless Luton won by about 10 nil. Luton's goal difference is the worst. If Birmingham lose however, and Charlton and Luton win, then we go down my friend. Unless the Wigan points situation, is done before the drop places are decided. I think Charlton beating Leeds is going to be tough call. Could be a draw. Leeds will be wanting to stamp authority out now. Last edited by joeysteele; 19-07-2020 at 03:06 PM. |

And if Luton do win 10-0 now I'm probably gonna kick myself for making a prediction where we don't lose to Derby.

It reminds me of when Birmingham were last in the Premier league and went down. A series of results going the right way then could have seen them safe. However enough of the other results went negatively for Birmingham. Here we are, in a similar position. They only need a draw and they'll be safe. I am not looking forward to the last games. Birmingham shouldn't be in this position admittedly. However league one, the old league 3 for goodness sake. That would be really hard to take. I just hope they go out and attack like crazy. No disrespect to Derby but I hope Birmingham honour themselves by really going for it in this last survival match in the Championship. |

Like you Joey I hope that the players hold nothing back today, after all they'll be playing against Wayne Rooney which how often will these players get to say that? And tbh it's really bad days for us as a club if we're in League One whilst Aston Villa are looking likely to stay in the Premier League now, it'd be the modern day Sunderland & Newcastle.

Tonight is going to be really tense unless Birmingham score early and more to the point build on a lead. Otherwise, relying on other results, a footie nightmare. |

Wigan have been deducted 12 points so they are currently in the relegation spots which pushes Luton out of them

Derby and Shef Wed are facing points dedecution and Wigan are arguing Derby should face a 21 points deduction which would relegate them

Phew!
I'm glad Birmingham have stayed up but for goodness sake. Something needs to take place there to really have the team the City deserves. They ought to be contenders for promotion not struggling around the relegation area. I feel sorry for Wigan. It's hard enough winning points but to see the equivalent of 4 wins as points wiped out, is really cruel. |

Gutted for Charlton. Played for them briefly as a youth, so I’ve got a soft spot for them. Insane drama for Barnsley though.

Our owners also need to start properly investing in the club, or quite simply **** off if they can't. Well done to Luton and Barnsley on their impressive wins last night, and I do feel sorry for the three teams going down in different ways.

Really the next season could just be a few weeks off. So I hope something happens and fast at Birmingham. Otherwise there's a dreadful season in prospect coming up. Anyway here's hoping. You should go and march in there and sort them out please Mock. |

Well... we’re down. Congrats to Luton and Barnsley though especially the former as they’ve been playing extremely well and deserved there place to stay in the championship. Congrats to Birmingham as well, hopefully they can rebuild next season and come back as a much stronger team.
As for Charlton, I think that result pretty much summed up our season and how it’s just been a car crash from September. Didn’t surprise me that Leeds won that game, they’re finally going back to the Prem after 16 years and wanted to finish the season on a win and with the team they’ve got, they were easily going to tear us apart. Good luck to them. In regards to Charlton though we have so many issues not just with the players but with the ownership. It’s just been an absolute joke and I literally have no idea what’s going to happen and how long it will take to get sorted. At the moment I seriously don’t think we will be bouncing back and winning promotion back to the Championship next season. We need some serious investment but unfortunately we always seem to attract dodgy owners at the moment. I’m gutted though cause at the start of the season and the way we was playing it looked like we could’ve done very well. Then our main striker was injured in Sept and it was just too many poor results after that. Then came the ownership change in January and it looked like the beginning of a fresh start and a boost of morale for both the fans and everyone involved in the club. It ended up being such a huge mess and then once the football returned after lockdown, our main striker, the one person we needed chose not to play. To top things off there were many games this season where we kept giving away points in the dying stages of the game (Birmingham for example) which again is something that cost us massively. There’s only been one shining moment for me this season and that’s Dillon Phillips. He’s been outstanding this season I think and there’s been many times where he’s saved us from some really bad results and the fact he’s played every game this season shows how much of a great player he is for us at the moment. He definitely deserved our player of the season, just a shame that the season ended on such a harsh result for him.
