To be fair, deadwood isn't actually Eastenders' biggest problem at the moment and the last thing the show needs is another mass exodus after's SOC and Yorke's mad axings. Most of the characters have a place within the show so Kate Oates should be able to just hit the ground running with stories. It's certainly the strongest cast she'll have worked with in soapland thus far. I'm so ****ing perched
I have a feeling Jay is going to be brought to the forefront. Oates loves a tragic young male.

Yeah, I think the show is actually in a decent state. It just needs a producer with big stories and ideas to come in and execute them.

Like how Newman tidied up after Kirkwood so DTC could just come in and throw his ideas in straight away.
